I'm glad you agree. I'm well aware that osteopathic students may opt to take the USMLE's. DO schools focus solely on COMLEX prep, which is a different style of test. If you can prepare for both and do well, kudos to you. Maybe I'm misinformed on this (correct me if I'm wrong). I do know for a fact that the USMLE's are not required for DO students to enter a majority of allopathic residencies. What I was mainly referring to is the use of an osteopathic school as a stepping stone to becoming an allopathic physician, not for any health or personal reason. For those of you out there that are reading this and contemplating the switch, do the world a favor and save the seat for someone who is not a pretentious douchebag. Thanks in advance.
