I don't know your situation, but I would do as much as you can at the Columbia campus, as the satellite schools can be seen by some as less rigorous. You already have an uphill battle coming from a public school in the South (excepting one like UNC-CH or UVa), so you want to show that you are taking the best classes to which you have access.
Make an appointment to talk with someone from the Office of Pre-Professional Advising (both advisors are excellent) right away. They are busy now with this year's applicants, but they will put you on their e-mail list and help you plan. Pm me if you want more info. Good luck!
