Next fall I am transferring to UM for undergrad from a much smaller university. I am kinda nervous about transportation and finding my way around. I am going to commute from the Belleville area and take highway 94 in to Ann Arbor. Would it be best or even possible to park somewhere just outside Ann Arbor and ride a bus in to avoid the hassels of finding parking spots? Any advice or info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

see http://www.parking.umich.edu/parking_options/students.html

if you can get an orange pass (relatively cheap), Glazier and Crisler Arena parking lots rarely fill up. If you can get here before 9:00 AM you might be able to get to other lots. Otherwise, you can pay for parking at visitor lots or parking structures.

Anyone know if we get a bus pass being a med student at UM? I love the bus pass! Especially with gas getting so expensive!
