Hi tufts said that you CAN cover the list of schools you are applying to when you said them amcas.they do not want to see it, but what is the trick to formatiing this.

some counselor told me this, but i don't see the problem of sending them the same amcas, bc they download it anyways.

but i have to turn amcas in but dont want to show list of schools, but on the last page is my PS and list of schools, so how can i change this if i can?

ooh, good question, I didn't even think about that. I've gotten a couple of secondaries that request hard copies, too.

Anyone?

Umm, don't turn in the last page? I haven't looked at a hard copy so I don't really know if that would work out, but I wouldn't turn in a list of schools unless I really had to. Is it officially illegal for schools to ask for that, or just frowned upon?

Hmm, that could be a problem, b/c you definately want the PS on there. I guess these would work:

1. If you (or your school's comps) have the full version of acrobat, just edit your list-o-schools out of the PDF and print it.

2. Print what you have, take it to a photocopier, put a white page over your list-o-schools but not your PS, and copy it. You could just copy the last page, but it may look different.

3. Use white-out or a sharpie.

4. Just send the whole thing, and see whether your list-o-schools really matters to them.

5. Don't send the whole thing, and see what happens.

The choice is yours, I guess.

As far as I know, it's perfectly fair game for schools to ask about other schools, but I don't see any benefit for the applicant. May not matter too much, but would, for example, Wake consider you serious about them if the rest of your list is all top 10s? No school wants to be a backup right?

Thanks dajimmers, good tips.
