hi guys,

i'm applying to medschool right now and i just want a part time or even full time job that is loosely medically related. i've been searching over the internet, but have no luck. i no no professional certification besides a BS.
any advice? i am a 23 year old male.

I know some kids who got medically related jobs in high school. One got a job as a pharmacy tech (which apparently you don't need to be certified when they hire you, they can train you) and another was an EMT (you can get free training by volunteering on a first aid squad). Those are probably the few entry-level medical jobs you can get. Or, you can use that BS and probably work in a lab.

Relax. I am 26 years old and a 3rd year med student, doing rotations, at a top ten med school. I worked for two years before starting med school, as a construction worker and a waiter at a sweet Thai restaurant. You don't need to do medical work, just pay the bills, and get into school.

i guess my concern is getting in this year.
if i don't get in, i want something decent to put on my resume, and i don't think working at walmart is going to help that much know what i mean?

also, it's hard to get a new letter of recommendation. anyway, if i don't get something soon, i'm going to look into working retail.

You can get your CNA, it takes around 6 weeks to get at your local technical college. The job kind of sucks though.

phlebotomist, cna, janitor, hospital maintenance, security guard, clerk

Search for other sources than the internet. Classified ads, college career centers, career faires exist for a reason.

I never thought the internet was a good place to get jobs, but then again I never used monster and all the other engines

I agree with the above. Get the highest paying job you can, if that job isn't medically related you can use weekends/days off to volunteer clinically and shadow.
