Trouble with letters of recommendation

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had any trouble getting their letters of recommendation in? Two of mine say "New" and the other says "In Progress." I spoke to one of my recommenders who told me she turned it in. I wrote to OptomCAS asking if they got it and somehow the status didn't get changed and their response was obviously a copied and pasted thing about what New and In Progress mean.. so I called them and they told me that it's a very simple process and they just have to follow the directions. I'm not really sure what happened, as I know my boss knows how to follow directions.. has anyone else had any trouble like this? I hate knowing that my applications are going to be on hold if I can't get these in soon.

Did you choose the electronic version for the recommendations? The two recommendations I requested so far are electronic and after I submitted it, it labeled it as "new" and when the recommender opens it it should switch to "in progress" my recommender's were pretty quick so right after they personally told me they submitted it I went on my app and checked and it said it was "complete." Not sure about the paper-format version, although that's what I have to do for my 3rd one, and haven't sent that out yet so can't really answer on that. So it seems like the electronic version should be pretty quick and have no problems if they submitted it. Maybe ask them if they filled out both parts? (the attribute rating and the essay)

Yeah, it's the electronic version. There was some confusion earlier because one of the recommenders didn't get the request, so OptomCAS ended up sending the requests to all the people again. I'm wondering if there would be a problem if she clicked the original link after getting sent a new link. I don't even know.

Not sure. But they should click on the more recent one just in case.
