Thought it would be a nice idea to keep track of the wait list, update your status/add your username to a new post if you want to join.

I just sent in my deposit retrieval form, and will be giving up my seat. Congrats to all those accepted. For those of you on the waitlist, I hope one of you gets my spot. Take care all and best wishes 🙂

Add me to the High Waitlist too. I am getting married on May 21st and was just thinking what an amazing wedding gift that would be! I hope we are next, Guidedwaves! :luck:

Getting off the WL would be a nice wedding gift. I hope all the waitlisters end up where they want, hopefully we'll be classmates IowaGirl22 :luck:

I interviewed in the AM session as well on the 11th. Havent heard anything. Ive been checking mail daily, saying today is the day.

I heard some people get phone calls, so Im kind of mentally preparing myself for that let down, but hopefully all the best for all of us.

Really? People who interviewed the 11th got phone calls? I didn't know anyone, so I don't know if everyone is in the same boat.

Nevermind. I misread what you were saying. I heard some people get phone calls too. Is that how it's done? Is there anyone who was accepted that was not notified by phone call?

Taylor said the letters were sent out on Tuesday 🙂

Are we still supposed to all by the 9th if we don't get a letter by then? I was told the letters would be mailed on Thursday of last week. Oh well...what a few more days.

i received a phone call. i don't think everyone gets a phone call but if you do get it you should be really happy 🙂

It seems like there are several on the high waitlist, and close to none on middle and low. Anyone else noticing that? And, any waitlist movement?

It's probably because people on the high wait list have a higher chance of getting in, so they are more willing to post/discuss. I was low wait listed at one school, and I haven't really posted/kept up with that school/thread because there is a very low chance I'll get in.

From what I've heard and seen, the waitlist at Touro has a good amount of movement. I think we'll be fine 🙂

I agree with you, GuidedWaves. Others have posted about being placed on the medium waitlist earlier on in the year. So it has happened. Does anyone know when the final deposit is due? For some reason I thought it was due by May 14th. I'm really, really hoping that we will start to see more movement in the next few weeks. When I last spoke with Taylor he said that movement picks up in May because students have to finalize their plans for the fall and so they start to see more spots open up. This waiting thing has become extremely hard (I've been waiting since December). I'm trying to not give up hope but some days are harder than others.

I believe MD schools have a May 15 decision deadline and the last Touro payment deadline is what you said. So I think once these two events occur and people start moving off wait lists, movement will start moving more. I would imagine a lot of people sit on the Touro NV acceptance list until the last payment deadline due to the refund policy.

Hey Bernouli, I interviewed the same day as you and I'm pretty sure we had the same interviewer. I got high wait listed too. So you got "the call" today? Congrats!!! Any advise for someone still on the high wait list?

Are you the person who drove me home?! I don't really have any advice. Waiting is hard. But, Taylor said that currently 1 or 2 withdrawals are coming in per week. There is definitely going to be movement. Don't worry everyone.

I'm freaking out because I have to get ready to move.

Congrats Bernouli! You weren't on the list for very long. I read your post after jogging and then I saw that I had one missed notification on my phone and got momentarily excited. It turned out to be a text 🙄

Yeah, I saw a phone call from 702 that wasn't any of my friends or family. I'm glad I answered. I know how you feel though. I checked my email way too much this past year.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted. I'm on the high wait list too. Hopefully they'll get through it this year. In my opinion, the mandatory attendance policy was a big reason why people withdrew in previous years. But they didn't have it last year and the waitlist movement seemed to be slower. Does anyone think this is the case?

Congratulations to everyone accepted! Getting that letter or call is surreal. I will be there in August as well. There is a facebook page for our accepted class that is fun/helpful to join to meet your future classmates. Just type in Touro nevada 2015 in the fb search bar and you'll see it. See you guys soon!

I'm going to say that the attendance policy played little effect on movement. I would guess that the list really starts moving a week or so after the last payment deadline (after the office is done updating everything). I hope they get through a lot of students on the WL too.

I don't have a facebook. I don't really want to start with one now...haha. I'm interested in getting to know my fellow classmates though. Maybe you could PM me and we could chat a little.

I was told that they have never accepted anyone off of the medium wait-list. It will be interesting to watch this wait-list tracking activity.

Hey guys, if you're on the wait list, just hang in there. Last year's wait list was quite the saga (you can read last year's thread if you'd like). Having gone through it, I can advise to just relax and try to wait patiently. We didn't see any real movement last year until mid June I think, but it appears that things are moving more quickly this year. Unfortunately, it's not a predictable process. It's always good to be prepared to either get the call or to not get the call. I hope that you all get in!

I got my acceptance email from Taylor yesterday. They're emailing as well and snail mail because you have 5 fays to get them the deposit. I never got a phone call. Just to let every know. Good luck to everyone.

Congrats badboy13.

Withdrew my acceptance from Touro-NV.

I just wish there was a way I could "trade" my acceptance to from Touro-NV to Touro-Ca. I am on the High-Waitlist at Touro-Ca and am dying to get an acceptance from them...

Good luck to all on the waitlist. I hope my seat goes to the most worthy of you sorry lot!!

I actually just came in here to see if there was a way to switch: I want to go from Touro-CA to Touro-NV. I just found out it'd be a better choice for me.

So yeah, anyone know if there's any way to switch?

I didn't even apply to Touro-NV; thought they were the same

Sorry, you have to think of the Touro schools each on their own; no switching.

Any updates? 😳 It doesn't really seem like any of the west coast DO schools are having a lot of movement. (as well as the other ones)

Hey all, I just moved to town (doing the MHS program) and hoping to get into the DO program next year. I moved here from the midwest and do not know a single person here! I want to explore the city and the surrounding area before school starts, but definitely do not want to do this alone. So is anyone else in town and bored off their minds yet? Private message me on here and maybe we can meet and hang before things become too hectic.

Any news?

Hi everyone! I was accepted off the high waitlist and will be attending Touro in the fall. I am extremely excited! For those of you still waiting, hang in there. I have been waiting since December. One of my favorite quotes these past few months has been, "When the world says give up, hope whispers try it one more time."

Hey! You should check out the facebook page for the DO class, even though you're doing the MHS program. You'll be getting to know people in the DO15 class really well, since you have a ton of classes with them your first year 🙂 People here are already planning some get-togethers.
