Good seeing you sdn lurkers at the interview today. I can definitely say that I enjoyed the overall vibe the entire time we were there. The students and staff seemed very honest and straightforward and everybody definitely made a great effort at making us lowly interviewees feel at home. Best of luck to all of you

Did anyone from 10/17 hear yet? I called Taylor and he said they got sent on Monday, but mine didn't come today (so cal)... seems like it would take less than two days to get something sent from four hrs away..... ahhhhh dying from anticipation

Accepted! I interviewed on 10/31 and just got the letter today 11/16, but the date on the acceptance letter says 11/10. I live in Las Vegas so I hope this helps put a time frame on things for you guys.

Also curious whether its a small or large envelope. It seems some people were told over the phone in the past. Since he didnt tell me anything, I'm already thinking waitlist. Oh well, guess I'll find out tomorrow. Good luck to everyone 👍

It was a small envelop with three pages. An acceptance letter, and two deposit forms. One being instructions on paying online.

Received the secondary today. Paid, faxed, interfolio'd, and submitted in ~4 hours 😀
Now, how long to hear back?

Just got an acceptance letter from my interview on 10/31; hopefully everyone else found out and got some good news! Unfortunately, I've already accepted elsewhere, so that should free up a spot for someone else here. Good luck everyone! I had a great time at Touro.
 
Submitted my application back in September. Finally got in touch with Taylor after all the holidays and was told my application was lost. Sure hope I get some special considerationg since I have a receipt from UPS saying it was delived in September.

The very same thing happened to me! 😱 I got in touch with them and they put my file up for review very soon afterwards, so I'm pretty sure they'll expedite the process for you too 🙂
 
i interviewed on 10/17 and got high waitlisted- does anyone know how often ppl are selected from this list?
 
My application was rejected due to a low MCAT score and I was invited to apply to the institution's Medical Health Sciences program. If anyone is familiar with it could you please provide some insight into the quality of the classes and preparation. Thanks! :luck:

Does anyone by chance know the COMLEX pass rates for this school? I received an interview invite and I would like to know this before I decide to go. Thanks!

I was invited for the interview yesterday and it took exactly 3 weeks to hear from them - Review: 11/8 and II: 11/29. So, I scheduled the interview on Jan. 11th, 2012 PM session which was the only earliest one available at that time for FYI. I was surprised that the interview only lasts 15 min here at TUNCOM.

I assume this is the usual processing time and I always felt that TUNCOM is a little slow but they are making sure that they are selecting the best considerate candidates.

For those current OMS here at TUNCOM, what can you brag about this school, something that other DO schools don't have? I will research more about the school, but I want you to share brief experience here with us. It would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys,

I am going to be interviewing here on Friday. I was wondering is the easiest way to get from the strip (my hotel) to the school via taxi or renting a car? I'm under 25 so renting a car would be pretty steep. Also, is it difficult to get a cab from the school back to the strip? Thanks for the help!

Question about the Interview Feedback section on SDN - I keep hearing how informative this section is, but when I follow the link, I just see a few bar graphs and a few brief comments from past interviewees...am I missing something, or is this about the extent of interview feedback available through that link?

Any info would be a great help, thanks!
 
ooitsrich...I'm interviewing on friday too!
I looked into the cab thing, but after doing the math, I felt like it would be much cheaper to rent a car than to cab it from the airport - hotel - interview - airport (I think it's about $40 just one way from airport to henderson area?).
If you decide to do the cab thing, I'd be happy to give you a ride to/from interview...let me know if you want to coordinate something. (I'd say 'PM me, but I don't really know what that means/how to do that)
 
Oh - you may already know this - but I think most if not all the hotels suggested in Touro's interview email offer free shuttle service to/from airport

Click on the "questions" tab underneath all of the bar graphs 🙂
 
hey Eweezy170. Thanks for the offer! I actually decided to rent a car as well 😛. So for the interview feedback page for touro-nv, if you scroll down the website you'll see a link thats says Questions. Then when the pie graphs drop down, you'll see different sections.

One section for example is: What is one of the specific questions they asked you (1)?
If you look at that section you'll see a link that says See All >

Then you'll see a drop down of a whole bunch of questions that people were asked during their interview and posted online. Hope this helps! Good luck to you on Friday :]. Fingers crossed for the both of us!
 
For the recent interview invites, when were you complete? And congrats of course! Good luck. Kill those inteviews, it represents everything you have ever worked your tail off for.
 
Thanks! I will try my best haha. I sent in my secondary application and got a receipt on Oct 17th. I got the under-review email on Nov 2nd and received an invite on Nov 8th.

I received a 'complete' email around Nov. 5th, interview invite Nov. 29th.
 
Letters from the 11/30 interview are out...

Result: Medium waitlist. Should I have any hope?

LovelyMed... how quick did you hear back? I submitted it again and still haven't heard anything. It seems like this school is really disorganized compared to most
