Anyone know what the class size is for the DO program?
If I recall correctly, it was about 140 students.
Anyone know what the class size is for the DO program?
I was asked what I felt the weakest part of my application was and why...that was one I hadn't heard before.
Nice try, ya perv!![]()
Chances of scoring shot down, I understand your pain.
But seriously, this is not the place to do this. Go to the DO16 fb page, or better yet go to the tunlive.com site if you're looking for roommates.
Grow up man
Agreed. Grow up. Some men are more comfortable living with women than men and some women are more comfortable living with men than women, it is life. Not to mention, why do you even assume the guy is straight and would want to have sex with a girl? I hope you do a lot of growing up before beginning medical school, as this closed minded perspective and obnoxious commentary will do nothing but hold you back professionally.
Here everyone, please take one. They're called chill pills.
I poked fun at the overtly gentle way you wrote your post, no harm no foul. I apologize if you took offense, but if you look at it from a creeper's perspective you can see the humor in it.
As a personal anecdote, I lived with 2 sorority girls in college for 6 months in a house when I was 21 or so. You would not believe the level of nasty the bathroom gets until you share one with a girl. OMG.
Anyway, I would recommend against it. You think I'm crazy, but hear me out: At first I thought it was great: good-looking girls, had even better-looking sorority girlfriends that would come over or have parties, and I thought I was in heaven. But slowly, I started realizing I was the one getting the short end of the bargain. I ended up doing most of the cleaning, and the yardwork, and the repairs, and the heavy lifting, and so on and so forth. I couldn't have any of my guy friends over to hang out, I couldn't hang out in my underwear, and I dealt with the emotional disasters during certain periods of the month. I was pretty much relegated to my room only, or leave the house to hang out with my friends. You think it won't happen to you, but mark my words: it's not as good as it seems.
Can we all be friends now?
Are they still sending out Interview Invites or is TUCOM-NV pretty much done for this fall? Thanks 🙂
Hi everyone. I was just given an interview for April 11th..wasnt expecting this at all since I just took my MCAT in January (received a 27: 9,9,9). My gpa is rather low (3.3) and I didnt receive a secondary until March 13th. Received an email on 4/2 stating that they didnt have my LORs, called them yesterday to notify them I had electronically sent my letters through Interfolio. Woke up today and had an interview offer email. First and only interview this application cycle. Really excited and nervous.
High wait list, interviewed march 9th. Excited and hopeful at the chance to attend touro nevada. Does anyone know if the adcom will change my waitlist ranking if i update them with new activities/publications?
How did you feel the interview went? Any questions that surprised you..or pretty similar to the ones everyone else stated on here? Also if you don't mind sharing your stats with us?
Thanks!
I felt the interview went okay, I could have answered one or two questions better. Nothing really surprised me but I wish I could have been more knowledgable about the current health care debate.. I have since read up on a lot of stuff, just wished I had that knowledge when I interviewed.
Stats: 3.1 overall, 3.4 sci, non trad, 33 mcat, 2 publications, working as tech at ophthalmology practice & transmission electron microscopy lab, shadowed DO in ER for 3 months. Just started up a non profit with the ophthalmologist I work for. However my transcript is checkered w Ds Fs and Ws prior to pursuing medicine(I started a successful business during ugrad and almost dropped out). It's been hard recovering from a 2.5 gpa but it'll all be worth it if I get pulled off the wait list 🙂

I agree! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I wish you the best, I think you have a great chance coming off the high waitlist.
Was looking at the match list. Is it easier to get an ortho match from this school, or were there just a bunch of people who were interested in ortho?
One month, but that was back in september. I'm willing to bet they're going through them faster now bc it's getting pretty close to the end of the cycle. You should hear soon 🙂
