I am looking into both Midwestern University and ICO. After touring, both seem to be really great and are very comparable. I was leaning a little bit more towards ICO solely due to how long they've been established and networking/job opportunities.

However, ICO costs about $30K more than Midwestern. I was wondering if I could get someones advice on this. I'm not too familiar with the loans process, will $30k make a significant dent in the future? Additionally, how important is establishment of the school in terms of finding a job?

Thank You.

When you say Midwestern do you mean the Downers Grove campus as in Chicago College of Optometry?

If it's Midwestern in Illinois then I'd pick ICO. But if it's Midwestern in Arizona that school is fine.

If you are a good student then your study habits should transcend any curriculum disparity from NBEO standards at CCO.However,if you are marginal then I would go with a more tried and true training program @ICO.
