What's Up, for applicants who have less than competitive stats yet received an interview, how should he/she prepare for the interview to increase his/her chance for acceptance? Any special issues to address?

Also, I notice that the Tulane interviewees came back with many positive feedbaaks and an overall great experience. Is there any major issues ( moral, ethical, etc.) that Tulane focused on? And does Tulane reject many applicants after interview?

Look at my mdapps- they tend to favor applicants who have demonstrated that they can handle the workload but have unique applications with great personalities- that's why their med school class tends to be filled with students of fantastic social character, and why the interview feedbacks tend to be very positive- people there are laid back, really cool, and awesome to get to know. To prepare for your interview- BE YOURSELF!!! Believe me, you won't have to work hard to carry through the interviews- the interviewers make it very easy to be relaxed and to have a conversation- they are looking for people who they can see themselves hanging out with for the next four years- not someone who is good on paper but lacking in person.

Just make it clear that you would love to go to Tulane, and especially New Orleans. Make it very clear.

Yah, for me, this was the only school I applied to that was far from the northeast (where most of my schools that I applied to are), and I made sure that it was expressed at the interviews.
