Is it just me or does the idea of a tumor board sound absolutely awesome?? Do pathologists enjoy tumor boards? It sounds really fun to collaborate with other specialists to discuss patients' treatment options. Ah, pathology sounds so fun. 😍

Tumor boards pull in many different specialties. Sometimes the presented case can be relatively straightforward, and a consensus is reached pertaining to the next steps relatively quickly. Other times, the way forward isn't so clear, and things get contentious quickly. Super interesting to see hardened oncology vets throwing studies at one another trying to come up with the best plan of attack for cancer patient X.

Tumor Boards can be way more useful, if only the structure is correct and discussion is guided. It gets boring when you hear an "in my opinion" blah blah
