I got in to TUSPM and into NYCPM. I like TUSPM much more. Despite my $6000 scholarship from them, it is still much more expensive than NYCPM. I am originally from NY and thus living in NY is cheaper for me than to live in Philly. I currently have a very good job on the weekends working with developmentally disabled people. I heard that academic level of both schools are equal, but NYCPM is not the most comfortable place to be. Is it worth spending almost 50% more the amount of money for the same education just to be more conformable?

I heard that many students drop out of NYCPM. I do not know about Temple, but I heard from my cousin who is currently in the Pharmacy School at Temple that if you fail one class you are dismissed from the School. They will not let you take it over again or repeat the year. Does anyone know if this is true for the podiatry school as well?

Please advise me, as you see, I am very confused.

maybe you should pick up a phone some time.

U sincerely do not have a life do you... All day on SDN expressing free speech just because stupidity is not a crime. Thank you for your thoughts though.

Anyone else cares to give me advise? no more air buds or air heads.

did you visit both campuses? I personally liked Temple for its staff and overall location, nothing personal NYCPM, and think that that money may be well spent.

Both schools give a good education and are reknowned for their abilities to teach. Just imagine it as a long term investment and then think about it as your life for the next 4-7 years lol.

In my opinion, drive to the closest barnes and nobles, Get a coffee (or tea) bring a notepad pen/paper and all the TUSPM and NYCPM material you can find and that should settle it!

Goodluck

Pick TU. Strong academics and clinicals/board pass rates. I'll invite you and airbud over to my place in Manayunk for a beer.

You can retake classes and years at Temple. I feel like the admins work pretty hard to make sure that they do what they can to help you to graduate...

To quote air bud:

Don't psych yourself out so much. You are already worried about failing classes. That should motivate you to study harded and do your best, at either institution. If you live in New York, you've probably been to the city enough times, and you should be comfortable there. If you have a job there, even better, although you may not have much time to work.

The education will be what you make it.

Find out where air bud is going, and don't go there.

"Air Bud" is everywhere. We are a movement. Theta is heading up the California chapter. Others are in negotiation to lead at other schools.

Air Bud Core Principles #7 "I shall think for myself and hold myself accountable for my actons, thoughts and decisions"

Air Bud encourages its members to seek advice from knowlegdable people, namely admissions people.

Air Bud actively discriminates against stupid people. CKJets is clearly stupid, and all Air Bud brothers shall follow their Air Bud Handbooks and CKJets will be dealt with accordingly

Let me get this straight... you are a group of people using the same user name and password??? Does anybody else find this amusing?

Amen brother air bud...air bud is not a group of people using a single username, rather we are a group of people who adhere to the "air bud" way of life. I personally do not know where I will be heading (I'd like to like AZPOD but you never know till interviews are over), but one school will be receiving a new follower in 2010. Seriously though...call the stinkin admissions office instead of relying on hearsay from people who may or may not know anything about podiatry on a web forum. Thats like stopping a random student on campus to help with a biochem question instead of just going into your professor's office.

PS I hope air bud accepts me into the fraternity, I kind of just invited myself as I read this thread.

The board of directors met and pending approval from the Class A stockholders, DTrack22 has been appointed the "Air Bud Future Student Ambassador." This is a very prestigious title, and carries with it a great deal of responsibility. While I only attend DMU, Dtrack22 is going to have the chance to visit numerous schools and talk to students from across the country who still have decisions to make. It is going to take a grass roots effort from the bottom up to fulfill all AIR BUD goals. One of course is to get CKJETS to attend NYCPM, where he will fit in great with the genius Godfather.

I am amused too.... You just gotta be really bored.

Well if this helps....TUSPM was on CNN this afternoon...getting lots of credit for the research they are doing in foot pain as it relates to wearing heels. I assume how foot pain and heels go hand n' hand and how it causes foot, knee and leg issues for life. They showed the gait center and how it works. Very interesting i must say.

Thanks, I think I took my decision. It's gonna be Temple
