So I work as a tech and the student PT on his rotation goes to TWU and he told me of someone in his class got in with a 2.8 cGPA and I'm just wondering HOW!??

Do they look at last 60 hours? Maybe they had a stellar pGPA? Unique extracurriculars? Killer GRE? Maybe they rocked their interview?
Lots of things go into determining whether or not a student is a good fit for a program. It’s not all about cGPA.
I’m not sure if you meant for your post to come across as rude and judgmental, but not everyone out there is going to have a 4.0 GPA and being a PT is about a whole lot more than book smarts. You can have the best test scores and GPA out there but it doesn’t mean you’d make a good PT.

I wasnt trying to come off as rude haha i definitely don't have a stellar GPA but I was just wondering because TWU doesn't interview. You are right however by saying they look at last 60 if their cumulative GPA isn't high. So i was just looking for someone to give me insight that way I don't waste my time and get my app trashed for $60

Hey! So I got into some competitive schools with a 2.98 cumulative (probably less if you count classes taken twice). I graduated college in 2008 with a BA in English and a GPA of 2.54. 11 years later, took 51 prereq credits in 16 months at community colleges and got straight 4.0s. I had to get written in by a dean to take more credits than allowed during their summer semester, and then took all my sciences concurrently at different schools in two different counties while volunteering in two settings. Your GPA can tell a deeper story, and I'm glad your program took a deeper dive than the surface number. There are other differentiating characteristics besides the interview, i.e. work experience, life experience, essay, GRE. It's just a matter of conveying yourself the best way possible.

Wow thank you!
