Can anyone comment on the 11 programs in the two states? Hours, Call, Wokload, Etc, etc? Which one is the way to go out of these? Also, are these super competitive?

4 block surgery q4 call with night float
1 block ambulatory care
1 block ER
1 block Medicine Wards
1 block MICU
1 block OB or Peds or additional ER
3 block electives (Path, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, etc etc etc)
1 block vacation

block = 4 weeks

pay ~ 51k

application process fairly competitive, 10 residents per year
faculty here are very approachable and friendly

Well, the poster wrote that 1 block=4 weeks.

4 weeks x 13 = 52

There ya go.

12 week of surgery sounds like a lot for a TY...is that common?

that's a very good question about surgery

as a matter of fact its 4 blocks of surgery therefore 16 weeks

in other words, its a matter of preference, would you prefer doing MEDICINE for 16 weeks (probably more in preliminary programs and other transitional programs), or a surgery intern? Keep in mind how call is different among the two.
