Types of recommendation letter

Just a quick question, are there lots of schools that do not require specifically 2 science rec letters? One of my science letter is up in the air but I can get 1 science 1 nonscience 1 TAed course rec letters for sure from faculty members. I want to know whether there can be a back up plan if something goes wrong.

Most require at least 2 science but there are increasingly more schools that just want "academic" letters that best evaluate you.
