hey all
my question is, i got a pamphlet from nycpm, it said:
specialized care:
diabetic wound care/limb salvage
biomechanical evaluation
pediatric foot abnormalities
geriatric patient care
podiatric dermatology
orthoses/prosthetics
i'm assuming all podiatrists do all of the above in some form or another?
or are these actual sub specialties within podiatry? if that is the case, do pods do this during their clerkships? and are clerkships available in all of the above forms of care?
is there such a thing as a pediatric or geriatric podiatrist, who sees specifically younger or older people? if so, if u know anyone doing this, what is it like?
much thanks!
