they said it would take about 4-6 weeks after the interview...
it's been 7 weeks since i interviewed...
but they also were closed 3 weeks of that time for vacation...

i already called once, like two weeks ago... should i call again?
oh and i emailed a couple days ago but they haven't gotten back to me.

i just want to know if they've made a decision or not bc the mail's been screwy around here...

how long did you have to wait after submitting your secondary to receive news about an invite? Damn, I'm like a broken record, almost every other post I write seems to be about the exact same sh-t, how long did you wait....? I guess it's because I have not gotten any love 🙁

when I got my invite people on SDN were saying 3-5 weeks, by the time we interviewed (late Oct) it became 4-6. Factoring in maybe 1-2 weeks vacation time, you may need to hold out another week or so. Audrey told me over the phone 6weeks+ that I was waitlisted. Funny conversation, because she got a bit defensive when I said 'sure, why not?'

my application was complete late October.
invite on Nov. 8th.
interviewed on Dec. 3rd.

As a reference point for VYC, I interviewed Dec. 4th and was accepted last week. If I were you I would call them to see what is going on. Don't worry about the mail issue because U of C notifies those who have been accepted by a personal call from a fourth year student after the committee meets.

hey thanks for the info.
i didn't know they called if accepted.
that doesn't bode very well since i haven't been called... i bet my rejection's in the mail!

just wondering... did everyone else accepted there get a phone call too?
and does anyone know what sort of order files are reviewed in?

Don't worry. Waitlist comes by mail too. Not that it matters.

i just got an email from them saying that no decision had been made on my file yet.

so does that mean they just haven't gotten to my file? or does that mean i'm sort of 'waitlisted' for a while until they figure out what they want to do with me?

i interviewed on dec 3rd and it seems like they're taking an awfully long time.

does anyone else know how long uchicago took to get back to them?

It took them just over 5 weeks to get back to me. I interviewed in October. I'm on the wait list.

After 5 weeks, I called the office and found out over the phone that I am on the waitlist.
