U of Michigan parking

Does anyone know if University of Michigan provides its residents with parking at the hospital, either free or for a charge?
Thanks

First of all, welcome to the Universtiy of Michigan! Are you a new anesthesia intern? At times the intership is REALLY HARD. However, no other program has happier residents than we do (CA1-3). Also every year the internship gets better (it looks like they will be dropping one of the call months). When you are on Anesthesia you are treated extremely well. The department has a great reputation here and we have a good relationship with the surgeons.

Parking is ~$50 per month and if you show up later on a weekday you probably will not be able to find a spot. However, if you are on call, you get to park at the patient structure for free (always parking available, this is normally off limits to employees). Just have someone at the anesthesia office give you a pass. Good luck and I look forward to working with you.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there are a couple of crazy fellow interns here who decided 50$ a month was too much to pay. They both bought scooters and road them all winter long. They say that they can park free in the motorcyle lot. However, I would not recomend riding a scooter on black ice. 😱
