Hey everybody... was just wodnering thoughts on the U world sim exams. I just took the Sim Exam 1 and scored in the 220s. I've gathered that this overpredicts, but I still haven't started my dedicated study time yet so I'm pretty pleased. Any thoughts or comments on the predictive value/validity of these tests? I realize I should take an NBME, but as I said I haven't started my dedicated study time yet and I'd rather save NBME for when I really know my stuff as it gets closer to exam day.

I will tell you my uwsa scores compared with the NBMEs I've taken.

UWSA 1-480/214
UWSA 2-520/224

NBME 11-450/210
NBME 12-440/207

I'm going to take NBME 13 and 15 in the next 5 weeks, but I'm actually a little curious if uwsa is really accurate or not considering all the mixed reviews/experiences with them. Some say they are dead on, others say they overpredict by as much as 15-20 points, so I don't know what to think. I have 5 weeks more of studying, and I was hoping to break a 235 on the real thing, what do you think?

Even assuming that your real score at this point is 210, with 5 weeks of dedicated study time I'd say a 20-25 point increase isn't out of the question. Like I said, I haven't even started my dedicated time yet, I'm hoping to bring up my score by 20 more points and I think I'll be able to do that over the 4 weeks dedicated study I have coming up.
