I was wondering if anyone else has heard or gotten accepted to the UAMS DPT Program, I just received an invitation for an interview and was looking for some advice about it!
So I spoke with Wendy, who is very sweet and helpful if you need any information.
The interviews will be about 20 minutes. 2 faculty will be interviewing us individually. We will get a facility tour after the interview is over. Wendy also hinted that we will hear back pretty quickly after the interviews.
Just speculation here but if they conduct 3 interviews an hour for an 8 hour day that would be 24 interviews...the size of the incoming class...there might be more than just 1 interview going on at once but who knows?! Feeling hopeful at the least
Good luck to everyone!
Definitely brings some comfort, thank you!Okay that gives me some ease about how the interview goes! And also I was on the phone with the DPT office and it was the receptionist that I talked to and asked if they conduct any interviews other than Dec 2nd. Her reply was that they try to just do one and try to get the whole class size in one interview, so I hope that brings some comfort to you!
Did anyone happen to ask how many applicants UAMS interviewed? I asked them when we'd hear back and they said within the next two weeks. So pretty fast turn around!
I was nervous as well but I think they expect that. I felt okay coming out of there. I was asked a lot about the APTA and how their program is different from others. Other than that the usual: strengths, weaknesses, where do you see yourself in 8 years, how did you become interested in PT, and so on. Who did you get interviewed by? I was with John Jefferson.Good luck to everyone that interviewed Friday! Just wondering if anyone would post their thoughts/feelings about the interview. I was definitely nervous at first so I hope that didn't effect too much in my interview

Did anyone else receive a call today from their interviewer?
