What about going sometime in July? This way a lot have gotten their acceptances, and people can plan for it? I'm in🙂 🙂 I should post something in the Buffalo class page.

I have lately been hearing a lot about 50/50 chance if you are in the middle third. However, from what I have seen in other past years is that they get through both the middle and top thirds. Does anybody know what years they didn't make it all the way through the middle third, and how far down the middle third for those years that they got?
 
Im in the middle third and Mr. Rosso told me that last year the people in my position got in, but the year before they didn't... so im assuming that two years ago they didnt make it through the entire middle 1/3, if any since im not sure where my rank in the middle 1/3 is.
 
I just want give a shout to all my SDN friends. I'm praying that the waitlist will start moving really quickly so we all don't have nervous breakdowns...Mr Rosso does say the waitlist is moving really fast yesterday so hopefully news next week!
 
are people in the lower third just plain screwed?
 
July would be better to go to vegas haha. Hopefully I'll get into the school by then.. If so I can maybe try to get us a good deal at vegas. I keep getting deals in the mail since I'm a member at the Caesars based hotels hahah... I've been a few times. *PRAYING*

I also found out I've been moved up to the middle third on the final waitlist! :biglove:

Well, Mother's Day was a little bit of a distraction....until of course my family asked how the process was going.....hmmph😛

Plus I think there was some compulsive thread checks as well. You were all so quiet, though, I missed ya!

Honestly, I hope they make it into the bottom third this year and we can all look back at this year and laugh at ourselves. Preferably over beer and/or wings.

I am really not expecting any major sort of movement till May 16-17 if any !!! 😛
 
It totally is. I feel so bad for the guy who answers the phone. He must get bombarded with neurotic questions from anxious wait-listers. Yet still, he's so nice, calm and totally chill. Have you guys noticed that?

Actually, I had noticed that earlier in the month... I can't imagine how bad it must be this week as I'm sitting here resisting the urge to call.

I just received an e-mail from Rosso about housing that is supposed to be for the class of 2011, but no one has told me that I'm in yet. Weird. Anyone else get an e-mail about housing today who hasn't been accepted officially yet?

I finally read all the ubuffalo threads from 2006 and 2005. That's great news that UB gets to the lower third of the wait list.

I'm wondering when we upper thirds will hear soon! I hope the fact that UB has received so many applicants this year, more than last, won't affect our chances of getting in this year.

Isn't it scary that some of us don't know where we'll be next year? It'll be either BU or UB for me (if UB accepts me!).

What is everyone's plans for next fall?

Oh no worries, you don't need luck - you'll get in to both or at least one of the schools!!! I'm sure of it! If I get into UB, I'm most likely going to withdraw from Boston because it's so expensive!

at our interview day one of the profs mentioned it was around the natl avg...but i also heard that some years the ub avg is quite a few points higher than that. just depends on the class i guess.
