Thanks Toxigate for the call ...
Mr. Rosso Rocks ... but howcome we don't notice them moving swiftly? Based on the thread from last year they were in middle-third by end of May so ...
hey hopefulmedstudent, the first paragraph, i talked about how UB fits into my future aspirations, highlighting the special things I found about UB. The second paragraph, i emphasized new things i've been doing. then the third, i focused on lessons i learned from those experiences and how i can apply that to UB's educational environment. I really think it makes logical sense that if you are in the middle third or something, writing a letter showing interest really sets you apart from someone who's in the same position but did not show any interest. so yea, i hope it all will turn out the best.
true, they say that but my professor told me that showing interest really makes you stand out.
noeljan, i'm actually considering a roommate cause it's always nice to have someone to talk to, even if it's just hi and bye. human contacts are ever so valuable. you?
Hey there
I agree with you, plus I think it would be a great experience living with other med students. The other side though (with living alone) is it would be really quiet, etc (I havbe bad experiences living with major party all the time people, lol)

I think we have the most organized waitlist thread!![]()
I want to add the word "EVER" ... 😀
Maybe because not everyone on the waitlist is on SDN or makes any post on this thread and those that happen to be pulled off the waitlist are those that are not on SDN.
Thanks Toxigate for the Update! Do you ask for Mr. Rosso when you call?

(I really don't know how the USMLE is scored, so i'm just randomly throwing numbers out)just got accepted off the waitlist! Just wanted to let you guys know that there definitely is waitlist movement! 🙂 Keep the faith! 👍

:Hi noeljan, i never had part-all-the-time roommates but just really competitive and discourteous roommates. i hope you and i will find good roommates. any suggestions on cheap places to live in Buffalo? I'm from California. thanks!
So True!
If we were all in the same class and work this hard together, we will probably get like 15 points above the national average in the USMLE as oppose to the 5 points previously posted.(I really don't know how the USMLE is scored, so i'm just randomly throwing numbers out)

Another day with little movement 🙁 Time to recharge our faith for the sake of our sanity and hope for some acceptances tomorrow. I am just tired of always saying "maybe tomorrow" It has been part of my every-day vocabulary for many months. When will this madness endI know our day will soon come my fellow sdners, but in the mean time lets stay cool 😎 and keep posting

I got ranked very high on an alternate list at my top choice school. I'm assuming I'll get in sometime by the end of this month or beginning of June. If that happens one of you can take my spot at UB.![]()
Did you get accepted at UB or are you on the waitlist? I think you posted that you were accepted way back. I could be wrong though. If you were waitlisted, where exactly did you rank? I hope you get your first choice. Good luck.
I got accepted a couple days after my interview in March. I'm just posting on here because I know you're all waiting for people to go elsewhere so you can take their spots 🙂 I'm on the waitlist at a school in my home state right now, and if I get accepted I'll go there for family/financial reasons. Just givin everyone a heads up that my spot will probably be free in the coming month or so
I spoke with Mr. Rosso a couple days ago. He told me that they dont even read any additional letters that are sent. All they do is put it in your folder because the waitlist was finalized. That made me sad. 🙁

hey herecomesthesun, i'm coming from no-cal. my family wants to do a cross country trip with all my stuff and then unpack. it sounds unrealistic though. we might just fly over there. i really don't want to bring anything. maybe just books and clothes. i don't know cheap stuff over there is so if you have any tips, let me know. i was even thinking of going to thrift stores if stuff gets really expensive. haha. well, we all should be hearing in the next few weeks. good luck!
i say we aim for 50 points over the average!
see, i obviously don't know how it's scored either![]()
