No surfing here unless you're talking about the streets of Davis during winter! Then it's like riding a bicycle through a lake, which I not so conveniently found out one day when riding under an overpass on campus on the way to the VMTH after a brutal rainstorm. I had to call my boyfriend to bring me new socks. 🙄

Ugh, wet socks are the worst. And yea, that vet is just joking around. His wife is from the area and one of his closest friends used to teach at UC Davis, so he likes to poke fun.

I'm so excited for everyone moving out here! I may be taking a research position in the lab of one of my interviewers (ironically) and she said that she'll go over my app again with me too and give me feedback. I'm pretty excited about that too. 🙂

That is so awesome!! Both the research position and the specialized attention to your app! Not to mention then you should be able to get a LOR from her, too. I think that was one strong thing about my app...I'd worked with a prof in the UC Davis vet school and had a very strong letter from him. Yay nyanko!! Exciting stuff! 🙂

Was anyone else's decision email lost in the black hole of the internet? I had to call Davis to find out that I was accepted yesterday, they couldn't actually send me the email until today. They said that I should have been notified on 3/24, and that several other people had similiar problems. Any other SDNers in this situation?

Did you guys see the links to the curriculum handbook on the accepted students' page?! It has textbooks, classes, etc. All that stuff that was in that horrid PDF I sent to some of you (which was so hard to navigate around). Now we can look at it, for real, and it's up to date!!

i like..hehe..very interesting....ucd's still my dream school to get into for vet med..but...i feel like its unattainable 🙁 will be talking to yasmin soon about my 'future' w/ ucd...*sigh*
