UCI Student has Application Questions

Hi everyone,
Hope applications are going well for everybody.

I am currently a third year at UC Irvine and I want to apply this cycle. I had a few questions with regards to grade inputting and extracurricular listings.

I took Biology 199 (undergraduate research) in my sophomore year. Would I input it this way into my AMCAS Application:
Course Number: Biology 199
Course Name: Biology Research (NAME OF LAB)
Grade:A

and under area of study: Biology? or should it be other?

Also, is it still valid for me to put this under research under extracurriculars?

I'm sorry for the plethora of questions, any help/advice would be highly appreciated.

Look at your transcript and just put whatever it says onto your application. It counts as a bio course.

Yes, put the research under extracurriculars.

Thanks for the response...I was uncertain because, I thought it would not be acceptable to get grade points for it on the AMCAS and use it as EC as well.

Was also wondering, I have to take my upper div bio labs over this summer and next year, should I list those as in progress/planned to take? Like every course, I plan on taking or just the ones that are the required ones.

You must have a pretty good idea of what classes you're going to take next year. I know I did. If you don't know exactly which classes you're planning on, then put the ones you think you'll for sure take. Honestly, nobody is going to be checking on you later. Just make sure you put down any pre-reqs you still have to take so that they know you're on top of things. If you can't decide if you want to take that english shakespeare class or that history class on world war II... Don't sweat it.
