Thanks guys! I am pretty excited! But I'm OOS and the odds of me flying cross country for revisit (which is THIS weekend) is pretty much nil.

Yea, I applied for Geffen and Drew and was accepted to both.

MsJLewis, is UCLA your first choice? (I can't remember from previous posts, but I know you were anxiously awaiting their decision). Did you like Drew more than Geffen or Geffen more than Drew? Either way, and even if you can't make it out to LA short notice for the revisit this weekend, you have plenty of reasons to celebrate!🙂

I'm not entirely sure its acceptance. I'm guessing since on my status page it has a button right below the "letter sent" section that is requesting my RSVP for recruitment day (which is due today). But who knows, it may be a high waitlist and they're just inviting me in the event I'm pulled off the waitlist (does UCLA do this?).

I interviewed in late November, so I can definitely feel your pain. I'm wishing lots of luck your (and everyone's) way!

UCLA is up there with some of the other schools I'm considering. I liked both of the programs equally (since they are basically the same) except that Drew students have a senior project which I'm not too keen on.

Thanks for the luck! It is kind of nice for me to see that you interviewed not too much before I did and still did get an acceptance (I know its not certain without a letter in hand, but it seems that way with the recruitment link) at this point in the game. That means there still should be some hope that the class is not entirely full yetfor those of us still waiting to hear.

I wasn't aware of the Drew senior project, and understand why you wouldn't be too keen on it. Its wonderful that you have some great options to consider in the next weeks. Good luck making a decision!

Its definitely an acceptance. I just checked my UCLA URSA account that I had set up when I got into Drew and it had a new set of links to fill out my acceptance (SIR) form for the Geffen program!

I hope more acceptances went out to everyone waiting to hear!

I wouldn't get too pessimistic. I personally know first years who were accepted in april (and may) so there's no reason to think they are out of acceptances.

Yeah I'm confused. If its 6 weeks from now, that puts it past May 15th. Don't all schools have to give you an acceptance, rejection or waitlist response by May 15th? I interviewed on march 6th and I really hope I don't have to wait another 4-6 weeks!

i asked that specifically and she said it could be as long as another 4-6 weeks from now. blah. she did not seem pleased at all that i was calling so she might have just said anything to get me off the phone....

Were the letters acceptances, waitlist, or holds? Where did these people live that got letters? Any idea when they were postmarked? Sorry you didn't get one. I'm not holding out much hope...

Thanks for the update neurofreak! I guess that means more waiting for us. I hope the "of course we're giving out acceptances" applies to anyone who's interviewed without a decision yet (like us).

does anybody know what the deal is with sending an additional letter of rec? do you have to send it through your school's confidential letter service again, or can you just have a professor give it to you and then you send it in along with your waitlist/update letter?

i think you can just have your letter writer send it directly. i would avoid sending it with your update letter though.

when i called them at the end of march they said i would hear by april 15th. never heard, so i called on april 16th and they said probably 2-3 more weeks.

i know what you mean! i think what's more frustrating than not getting a decision, is being given misleading information everytime i call. i would rather just have them tell me, "we don't know when you will hear from us" than have them give me random dates to look forward too.

I'm taking an online English course at a community college .... so I hope so! I've never actually checked, although I took my gen chem and calculus at a CC before I transferred so I feel like it should be ok.
