They gave us a copy of the 2003 match list at the interview. I don't believe you'd be able to get the information online. It's too long for me to type up for you, though. Is there anything you'd like to know in particular?

i just wanted to know if i could see it online. somehow i knew you would be the one to answer. sorry for not congratulating you on the other thread, but i knew you would get into UCLA. even though i don't know you, i was rooting for you deep inside. weird, ain't it?

Anyway, I would scan it for you, but I have no scanner at school. Here are some stats for more competitive residencies:

5 dermatology (matched to: UCLA, NYU, UTSouthwestern, UTSouthwestern, Hosp of the Univ. of PA)
9 anesthesiology (Massachusetts General Hospital, UCLA, Duke, University of Chicago, UCLA, Brigham and Womens Hospital in MA, UCSF, UCLA, University of Mass.)
10 radiology (King/Drew, UCSF, UCLA, UCLA, UCLA, UCLA, Santa Clara Valley, Emory, UCLA, Stanford)

thanks, but is it ok to ask for the surgery? i am aiming to be a surgeon, and hopefully i will be able to go to ucla for med school. 🙂

Dude, anesthesiology is one of the easiest specialties to match into, more competitive than family med but probably around the same as or less competitive than peds and IM. I don't know where do people on this board get the notion that it is competitive. It is not.

yes, but look at the schools where ucla students matched into anesthesiology; may not be a competative residency but it sure is at those schools

i was wondering. what would be most most practical and beneficial of all surgeries to help out those in war-torn areas? i am thinking general surgery, but i know that cardiothoracic surgery is a totally different animal as well. do i have to take two residencies if i want to do both?
