Congrats migatz! Have you received a confirmation email? I selected February 4th for my interview, but have not received any follow-up email/letter.
 
Hola Esteban, I heard this Saturday. They mentioned they were a bit behind. I wouldn't stress brother...they will probably get back to you this week. Keep positive.

Praying for an interview invite here...I really want that MPH dual degree.
 
Got a call to interview for PRIME! February dates were still offered to me. So don't lose hope! (Though I didn't think I would be invited, after the PRIME e-mail said they would invite ppl starting first week of January).

Hey vega, didn't I see you over on the WesternU forums? Pay that killer deposit yet?
 
Got the call this morning while I was still sleeping. Didn't pick up. Then I checked my VM and screamed hallelujah!!! All days were open for me.

Hey jinobi, yes I did. I cried. I'll probably cut my limbs off after the second deposit because well...it did cost me an arm and a leg. What about you? Did you cry? ;-)

Is UCLA Prime multiple mini-interviews?

Western waited a month before they took my first $1000, so that gave me false hope that they were lagging. Ouch.

PRIME is MMI, according to some 2nd years I've talked to.

congrats to everyone invited for an interview. does prime accept exactly 18 people or do they over-accept with the expectation that some will withdraw?

I wonder if our MCAT/GPA stats will matter anymore now that we've gotten interviews.

Do PRIME students take classes with the regular Geffen students? Besides the dual degree, what exactly differentiates PRIME from Drew/Geffen? Do PRIME students take classes specific on serving the underserved?

Yep, PRIME students will either take classes with Geffen or UCR students, depending on which program you're in. I think aside from the dual degree, you'd also be involved in projects/research relating to underserved communities, and maybe special classes? Another major difference is the small size of the cohort, which means lots of support and individual attention.

Has anyone received an email about the schedule of the interview day? Or the article we're supposed to read?

I would think that they have to take more than 18 students to fill the class. I'm sure that some of the students that are initially accepted will get into places like UCSF, Geffen, Stanford, Harvard, WashU, Columbia, Pritzker, etc. and choose those programs instead. Well, it makes sense to me at least. 🙂
 
Interview invite today! just couldn't believe it!!!
the bad thing is that I am already out of the interview mode since I had most of my interviews back in sept~nov...
now i need to prepare once again, but i am glad to have an interview at UCLA prime! crossing my fingers 😍😍

I did interview at davis.... i guess you either hate it or love it. Time goes by really fast, and the fact that you have so many opportunities/scenerios i think is better than one on one...plus im tired of talking about myself although i wish we knew our "score" or how we performed on the MMI😳 good luck to those interviewing this weekend :luck::luck::luck:

What is the scoring criteria for PRIME? Do we get points for each station and then they're added up at the end? The ones with the most points from interview + written app are in?
 
I saw a score sheet when I interviewed at Davis. I don't think anyone (save for those on admissions) knows how these things are scored. I wish I had read the MMI article prior to my Davis interview though. It would have helped.
 
my first MMI, so it was a bit nerve-wrecking but overall very fun. I stammered quite a few times because I couldn't shake off the nerves!! like migatz said, be yourself. there's a lot of movement going from one station to another so make sure you RELAX.
 
To those who had their interviews, was the MMI article that the school sent out pretty representative of the MMI at the interview. Never had an MMI, not to sure what to expect. Thanks

Tomorrow is gonna be a huge day! I really wish they weren't utilizing MMI though. Good luck everyone. (Even though we are in direct competition). :laugh:
 
Just got back. I thought MMI was really fun! Overall positive experience from my day, so you'll be fine.

It beats not clicking with your single interviewer at another school. 😀
 
Is anybody else getting this message when you log into the UCLA PRIME status update?

“No matching records found or incomplete data field! Please allow 5 working days for receipt of any written notifications.”

Btw, I do know that we should get a decision by the end of the month so I don't think they have already trashed my application 😛. I hope it's a technical error.
 
I'm glad I'm not alone. Either the three of us got canned or there are some technical issues we aren't aware of. I hoping for the later. 🙂 Conchita, i'm looking forward to a possible reply from PRIME.
 
do you guys know when PRIME starts?

I got that status too. when I checked a week go, there was a database error. oh gosh, if we four are all canned...then this is the worst way to find out.

and when did they say we will hear back? I remember third week of march, not end of march.

Has anyone contacted PRIME lately but hasn't yet received a reply? I asked some questions via email to Emma last week and still haven't heard back.

I'd rather not bother them with a phone call.

I hear that Esteban!! But, we'll be finding out soon. I did hear however that we find out in blocks. So keep faith man we'll get there.

I got into UCLA Prime/Drew and def. accepting! I will be withdrawing from 4 year-drew. Good luck everyone! see you at second look 🙂
