I am trying to understand all these loan options. They are so confusing. Those who were able to figure it out: Which one of these loans has the lowest interest rate? I am looking for a loan that starts charging interst only after graduation and has the lowest FIXED rate. Please help. Any kind of information is greatly appreciated.

UCLA has great students. All of you are super smart. That's a very very very big plus. UCLA also has fabulous professors and a great reputation. I love UCLA a lot.

It's just that UCSF gives me more time to study for NBDE-I. UCSF gives me two summers to study for NBDE-I. This can help me get killer scores. UCLA seems to give me a week or two to study for NBDE-I. Not sure if that's enough. Higher scores may help me get into a better specialty and a better school post-DDS. 🙁

P.S. now: UCLA 90% UCSF 10%

UCLA by reputation does better than ucsf on NB1's... so I am not sure why that is even a question. Studying two summers before the test....? Thats nuts!!! Are you already studying? I don't even know how many teeth are in a normal mouth yet.

I think the best way to study/succeed on that test is to go to a good academic school that teaches the material well, and study as you go. Thus, UCLA is the place.

First, CONGRATS!!

Second, if you're looking for convenience, only select Weyburn. The other three are pretty far from campus, and keep in mind, LA traffic will make everything seem even farther away. I used to live about 2.5 mi from campus but it could sometimes take 30-40 min to drive to there. I would walk to save time. However, if you don't care about distance, the other university apts are pretty cheap.

There isn't usually one. I've had a physical done before for sports and they don't take urine samples. The most important check however is the "turn your head and cough" exam while the physician has his/her hands (hopefully it's a her) under your scrotum.

UCSF doesn't give much love to anyone. I just did a quick calculation. I must pay at least 18,401.5 dollars more if I decide to go to UCSF (excluding living expenses). Plus, it looks like I have better housing options in LA [Weyburn Terrace>> rent + utilities + high speed internet = ~$888-$910]. According to UCSF, anticipated cost of living in SF is ~ $1892 / month. For the 1st two yrs everybody receives financial aid for only 9 months. Not sure if I can sign 9 month contracts. Single students are on their own. No housing options for them. I guess it's now UCLA 99.999% vs UCSF 0.001%

As much as I'm no fan of Kobe, I agree with you. Also, don't you mean Western Conference SEMI-finals? 😉 Western Conference Finals would be a Texas team vs. a Cali (LA, to be exact) team.

You are absolutely right. The way people act on the internet is usually not how they act in life. Have you ever wondered why? When people post anonymous posts are when they are most honest and express themselves. I agree with you that things on this forum should be taken with a grain of salt, but the personalities of the posters are most likely there.

You guys seem to think that I'm anti-UCLA or UCLA-want-to-be, which are both incorrect. All I'm saying is that great academic records will get you to interview with both schools. Once you are there, each school looks for some very specific characters in the applicants.

Also, if you think you can judge someone's (at least my) character based on 5-50 threads on a pre-dental website than you are sadly mistaken. No, mistaken is too congenial; that would make you IGNORANT and flat out WRONG! Come on Mr./Mrs. Therapist, diagnose my personality based on that statement.

To everyone else: I am a Kings fan, not a lakers fan, not a clippers fan. Also, I am a steve nash fan... and that game killed me on sunday. [Kobes is the best in the world, can't argue that. But also can't argue what nash did for the suns this year either in terms of winning.]
