AHHHHHH!!! A HUUUUUUGE package from UCSD arrived today!!! I can't believe it!!! I was trembling and couldn't even pay attention to what was being said in my physiology discussion as a result!!! I know the pros and cons to both UCSD and USC (both are my top choices, each are #1 in my book for various reasons) but all day long I was debating which one to go to (even though I've daydreamed about UCSD for what seems to be like an eon!!!!!). Ahhhh, such a hard decision!! However, after weighing the pros and cons *given my specific interests,*I've decided to be a part of
UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences c/o 2009 (plus,
oneday_9 said on the phone that if I didn't go, he'd beat the **** out of me and also said I'd be a *****!
😀
)
Mostly, it was because UCSD's emphasis on pharmacogenomics and the abundance of biotech companies fit my professional goals perfectly in addition to the class size being significantly smaller (60 vs. 190). A minor part was because the living area around USC wasn't the greatest in comparison. At any rate, I am rather nervous about the intensive curriculum at UCSD though
any current UCSD students out there? does it feel too overwhelming at times?
Now severing ties with USC SOP will be hard to do, as it is also a hard school to give up. Since my acceptance, I've developed a pretty good relationship with them, especially the Dean of Admissions, via email. They are very nice people, so to those who are going to USC, you will be treated well
🙂
So...for those on the waiting list, you will be moving up
🙂! To the rest of the people applying, best of luck! This has been a great journey so far but in reality, the real journey hasn't even begun yet. Special thanks to
Lexian and
Oneday_9 (these UCSF men are FABULOUS! Ladies, theyre also single and hot!
🙂 ) I look forward to working closely with the rest of the 59 students in UCSD Skaggs SPPS c/o 2009!!
