HI Guys. I didn't see a UCSF thread so I decided to start one. Has anyone heard from UCSF yet? On their website, they said that they would be sending out interviews at the end of November and early Dec. Any UCSF student out there have some words of wisdom?

Wow, they send out interviews that early (november and early December). I might just drop out of graduate school now and start fulfilling my prereq's if I hear back from them with good news.

That's all I have heard as well. I'm crossing my fingers for an interview invitation in December, but I won't hold my breath! 🙂 Good luck to everyone!

Where do they say your application is complete? I have not received any updates from UCSF. It seems as though UOP is the best at keeping me up to date.

I recieved an email from UCSF about 4 days after I mailed my supplemental.

"The supplemental application to the UCSF School of Pharmacy that you submitted was recieved. ALl required materials are present. Your application is being processed..." blah blah blah

Check your junk mail folder...it might be in there.

I sent in my supplemental materials to UCSF on October 24th (Wednesday).

i sent everything out by the end of october, but i guess my AP scores were lagging...so i didnt receive confirmation until nov 13th. so hang in there guys...it may just be that they havent received all your materials.

although waiting for interviews is killer. haha.

I got my interview last year very late in december, with some even possibly receiving notifications in early January. They're very slow in letting people know, as all the interviews are staggered depending on what dates they give you and who decides to accept and decline.

Yeah, I wondered about the timing of the interviews and acceptances last year. I remember someone on this board got accepted to UCSF before I was even interviewed, and I was like wow, okay, did I get the last interview date because I was a weak applicant or because I came from the Bay area? Then I got accepted on March 1st, and I didn't know if that meant that they really wanted me or that they got to my file first. Now that I'm here I haven't asked anyone that, but maybe I'll get the chance to ask another time. Lol, I guess it doesn't mean anything now, but its still a question in the back of my mind. Any thoughts into this evilolive?

I heard that UCSF mails out interviews in accordance to your last name, so A's (first) through Z's (last). For example, my supervising pharmacist's daughter got accepted sometime around April last year, and her last name starts with a W. She was so scared because she was so sure she had gotten rejected with all the waiting.

I don't think it's alphabetical. They categorize it according to your region I believe and convenience for interview timing. My interview date I believe was one of the last ones, scheduled for those who couldn't make the beginning interviews and all of the out of staters. How is UCSF now? I don't envy your having to take gross anatomy 🙂

Does anyone know how soon after your GPA is calculated by Pharmcas they send out your application ? My GPA has been calculated like a week ago but the application still has not been sent - I am getting paranoid and really worried that something is wrong. I have read the entire FAQs section on pharmcas website but couldn't find an answer to this question. I tried calling them but they were closed ofr holidays for at least 2 days, could this be a reason ? 😱😱😱

i think they send out the pharmcas every monday. but you must designate your school before thursday (or wednesday) in order for them to send it out on the following monday. if not, youd have to wait till the next monday.
