I am not a CA resident so I pay out of state tuition. Tuition is the same for both schools to me. Harvard's 100% matching rate to specialty is nothing UCSF can compare...kiggar4l2000 said:all jokes aside, you just drop $200,000 on loans bro. the avg debt of ucsf grad is 90 thou. harvard? probably close to 300 thou. patience is a virtue. not to mention you have to retake the CA boards if you ever wanted to practice in California...which when calculated in terms of opportunity cost of not working during the time of you preparing for the CA board will be an extra 100,000. so i guess you could've saved $300,000...

No, I am an international applicant and I dont get in state tuition anywhere, anytime. I have been calling UCSF many times and the whole admission process is pretty disappointing.nothen2do said:UCSF will be a little cheaper since you can get in state tuition after the first year. No school can compete with harvards matching rates, but I can see how some people get p'ed off when you just throw out your reluctancy to accept harvards offer.

If you were me, paying the same to both schools, would you pick UCSF over Harvard?

gmohamma said:thanks susy... guess what now.. today i got into usc pharmacy school... so... EFF ucsf, though i do hope joe gets in, a part of me hopes he stays in LA.. hahaha..
food4thots said:i hope you guys hear soon. i could understand you frustration against ucsf, but i always hear from the administration that this year is like no other in that there were so many applicants. i think that overwhelmed them.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO KNOW??
-- jokerjoe's gf
dominoes said:I called the office trying to figure out when we can expect to hear from them. And they said hopefully within a week. At that time, they'll let the applicants know. Doesn't this sound oddly familiar, and with no results? Starting to lose hope...
EyeAmCommi said:Thanks for doing that for me dominoes. I was about to do the same thing myself.
