No. Not yet. 🙂. Mary Pham said she will send out the invitation around Sep 15th.

to answer the original question, no written test, it was phased out in 2008. Just concentrate on interview and lab exam which would consist of crown prep etc.

I am not sure. Seems like we have to practice on GC a lot.

TOEFL: 617 PBT( iBT equivalent 105).
Ph.D. from a university in the US (GPA 3.8)
Several months of observer-ship.

Keep your fingers crossed and keep checking your e-mail
Last year I got i.v email from UCSF at 10.00 pm CEntral standard Time.
So dont panic and yes there is NO written examination.
Just prepare well for interview and hand skill test

At UCSF, do they send interview invitations to all the cadidates in one go? or is it like in batches? If in one go, then i guess today would be the only day to wait for the invite, as i guess some ppl have already received those.

I know she sends interview packets with regular snail mail and if your address if of a foreign country it sometimes never reaches. So give her a US address and then ask ur friends there to tell u the content or speed post you the letter.

I doubt if they send such emails; also, m not an ideal person to answer it but I think everyone should receive 'interview invitation' by coming Friday. Hang in there, wishing all the very best!!

I suggest all interviewees to buy a 'MOUNTING HINGE/BRACKET' (see the attachment!). Mounting hinge/bracket is a device used to attach typodont with the Mannequin and you'll require it for your typodont to be used in Mannequin during practice sessions. Hope that helps!

i checked with mary by sending her an e-mail yesterday. even though i received bad news, i can stop worrying, u know?

i think you should just call her up or e-mail her and ask her about your status so you don't drive yourself crazy with the worrying...

hi youth , for practicing i have typhodont and if get a mounting rod, is it possible to mount the tyophodont to the rod without the help of manniquin. my question may look silly but i dont have any idea how to mount the tyophodont while practicising at home. plz help.

Congrats to all who received an interview call from UCSF. Well usually the bench exam on mannequin. The school will provide you with all the equipment needed. You will get all the details in the packet they have send out. Just relax and get started.

They are done with their interview for this year...I know this is harsh..But me either is nt there on their interview list. so U can confirm with them with either email or call.
