I was asked to come to an interview on Feb. 1st. I don't see anyone else for that date yet here, boo.
 
Did anyone get a confirmation email after submitting the acceptance form? I didn't get one

What do you mean "the acceptance form" ? If you mean the interview invitation, then Yes, I got the confirmation right after I submitted the invitation online! But I think if you are not sure, you can reply again, they allow us do that (may be)!

I guess not a form, but remember how you had to put in the date and the reply code and stuff like that? I remember seeing it confirm that I submitted it after, but I didn't get an email.

Did you get an email or did you just see the confirmation? I'm not sure if we should be expecting anything else coming into our email

Yes, I saw the confirmation after submit, then I got email too. Did you put your email address at the end? I think it will send to your email too if you put in.

I put my email in, didn't get the email though. I guess I'll resubmit the form

No response yet. In the confirmation email it says all applicants will be notified by Jan 10 and invitations are sent out late dec to early january.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah that's what I thought but literally EVERYONE I know applying this cycle got a response yesterday haha guess we'll worry about it after New Years!

I got confirmation email immediately after I submitted my acceptance of the interview schedule. Not much information though, just a record and highlight to bring an ID etc.
 
I didn't get a confirmation email after submitting the web form either, weird that some people do and some people don't. But I think as long as you submit the web form right, you're fine.
 
for those who got interview invite. have you booked hotels /flights yet..... I'm trying to figure out what hotel is walking distance or at least a few minute ride away from the campus. any suggestions?

I booked my flight but not my housing yet ... Am holding out hope that I can find a couch to crash on. Just use Google Maps to look for hotels near the campus.
 
why are hotels so expensive! sigh! =-(
 
or really ? I'm not sure about the shared bathroom .....but how close is it to campus?

i received an interview invite this morning - and it is scheduled on my birthday!

to all those wondering about MMI format, i was accepted to my hometown at the University of Oklahoma (which began using MMI this year's admissions cycle) last month - it was nerve wracking, although a very interesting and valuable experience. i found it very liberating in how you can convey yourself.

Just got my interview invite today! Unfortunately, it's the same date as the UCSD interview 🙁
 
I got a Feb 8th interview on Tuesday Morning. This is my first interview, haven't heard back from any other schools. First time applicant, not the best GPA but I got the interview! Anyone else excited about the interview? 🙂

Yes, there are many resources. After you google up and read a few more examples, you'll get the gist. You can also even come up with your own sorts of ethical dilemmas and practice with those. Talk to friends and/or family members too to see what they would say.

Congrats on your interview invite! I never thought I could ever make it this far either.

Lol I got my interview two days ago (Tuesday morning) for Saturday Feb. 8th. I'm from the Bay Area. I thought we were getting the weekday interviews and saving the weekend interviews for people who live far?

I just ran into a bunch of P1 students at the lib. They didn't tell me much but just to relax and be myself. They were really nice and seemed to be enjoying pharm school!

Hey, yeah, that's what I think they intend but adcom's blog says that isn't always the case (perhaps since they have to shuffle people around in cases where some interviewees invited before the holiday break ended up withdrawing and now WE get their interview slots.). So Yay! I'm not far from the Bay Area either.

And yeah, I have heard the best thing to do is be yourself - but prepared, of course. I ran into someone who is a P2 last summer and she raves about the school. If you are falling behind in learning, everyone goes out of their way to help you succeed.

Yeah, they were basically saying the same too. I had to submit my app a bit later because I accidentally sent them a blank pdf for my past courses (oops) so I'm assuming that's why I got put in the last spot. I wonder if it will be an advantage or disadvantage to be at the end?

It will be neither. I guess I've read too many of their blog posts over time. They really emphasize we shouldn't obsess over such things. But come on, ya know??

Seriously, they shouldn't keep us waiting for so long if they don't want us to obsess over these little things 🙂
 
Finally booked my flight n hotel! Now all I av to do is countdown to feb.8. Lol

I had the same dilemma! But I called UCSD and was able to reschedule mine, no questions asked, since many others were calling to change dates. I'm not sure if they are still doing that now... Best of luck!

Really? I called just last Friday to reschedule and they said right now everything is booked. So I can't reschedule unless someone else cancels or changes their date. When did you call them?
 
Do you guys think this will satisfy the Physio requirement? It's in the "Medical Lab Sciences" department at CUNY Hunter...

MLS 312 Human Physiology: Integration and Control
3 hrs, 3 cr
Prereq: BIOL 100 and 102
Study of function at cellular, systemic, and organismic level, with emphasis on the integrated organism and associated control systems.

I called them on January 2. It was all booked in the morning so they told me to call back in the afternoon, and a spot opened up. Keep trying?

Have you contacted the school? I think that's the safest...

I called again today, and the only date available now is Feb 7...a day before the UCSF interview. I don't know if i should do it back to back....
 
When are the last interviews?
 
Does anyone know if it's an open or closed file interview?
 
to those who interviewed this past weekend hope it went well. mine is this upcoming weekend. I'm excited and slightly nervous lol
