I do not believe there is a low priority wait list if that is what you are asking. Plenty of people get rejected post-interivew thought.
mcody said:So March 15 is tomorrow...not that anyone waiting to hear from UCSF isn't well aware of that. If you hear any good news from this round of acceptances, please be sure to let us know when it arrived so we know to check and see if our mailboxes hold similar good news...or if it is yet another month of waiting.
btowngirl said:Hi guys, I called UCSF and they said that they put acceptances in the mail today. I thought others would like to know this. So start checking your mailboxes tomorrow. Goodluck everyone!
btowngirl said:waiting since the first week of december, if i hear something...i will definitely let you know. although, i think i will be hearing from ucsf the very beginning of april.
mcody said:Is the beginning of April more waitlists/rejections or more acceptances?
PupDogGirl said:wow, the wait must be driving you guys crazy. I bet you're wishing that they'd just send an email, so that the compulsive mail-checking is just limited to one day...good luck to all!
mcody said:Is anyone else besides the like 4 or 5 of us here waiting as desperately as we are?
Mateodaspy said:i interviewed on 3/7 - any hope that I might hear back with this round of acceptances? 😳
i'm in the same boat... i interviewed 3/8. i'm not expecting to hear anything until right before the may 15 deadline.Mateodaspy said:i interviewed on 3/7 - any hope that I might hear back with this round of acceptances? 😳

Stop fooling me, guys! I'm going to have a heart attack soon if you keep this up![]()

For you, it's probably not an issue of if you get in, but when. Obviously, you're an amazing applicant, but I think that you will more likely be accepted next month rather than this one.
But hey--you never know. Would you come to UCSF over some of the East Coast powerhouses that have accepted you?
G'luck!![]()
Mateodaspy said:Ain't no comparison between Boston/Baltimore and SF!
It would be a really tough decision if I got into UCSF.... I've always wanted to live on the West coast -- then again, pretty much anything's a step up coming from TX 🙂
mcody said:No good news for anyone then?
MilanoRed said:I got my acceptance in the mail today 🙂 I interviewed very early February.
Good luck everyone!
NorCalGirl said:Gosh me, too! Good luck everyone!

crimsoncash said:Awesome--Congratulations Milano!!! That's great news!! 😀
Did it come in a large or small envelope?
Best,
Crimson
GhungrooGuy said:I got the large envelope from UCSF yesterday (Friday)....I'm on the east coast (Cambridge, MA). I interviewed near the very end of January, so the wait was about 7 weeks.
Also, aeneid -- Though SF is AWESOME (both the school and the city), I'm a life-long east coaster with a lot of family around here, and I think I'm pretty much set with going to Harvard. Being out of state in Cali, the cost between attending the two wouldn't be too different (tuition might be slightly higher at Harvard, but I think cost of living in SF vs Boston would be about the same, and I'd spend a lot more on travel between there and the east coast). I was waitlisted at Duke but took myself off of the list. The only school that left that I want to hear back from before deciding 100% on Harvard is Penn...
btowngirl said:just got put in the high priority category aka hold until at least may15. well, at least i dont have to worry about being completely rejected for awhile. i dont know what this means really, or what to think of it. 😕
souljah1 said:The high priority list carries a very good chance of getting accepted sometime in the early summer. We take a good handful off the waitlist and the high priority get first dibs. Best of luck.
btowngirl said:i am not on the high priority waitlist. i am in the high priority category, basically like hold or deferred decision.
souljah1 said:Right. You are waiting and your name is on a list of people who have have priority. The decision to accept you or not is deferred until those that have gotten acceptance letters make their decisions. Sounds like a waitlist to me 🙂 Those on the high priority list have great chances historically. A lot of my classmates got in as high priority.
boardchic said:Does anyone know how many more rounds of acceptances will be sent out before may 15? Is there just the April 15 decisions or will they be meeting a couple of times?
bb88 said:what up people,
any recent news from these guys? i'm still waiting post-interview for 3+ months lol
cuddlydoc said:Hi everybody,
So, I called the admissions office yesterday and the nice lady told me that initial offers of acceptance will go out next week and also around the 15th of April. At least all of us hopefuls have two rounds of compulsive mail-checking this month!
crimsoncash said:there will be two rounds of letters this coming week? The first, early next week (i.e. Monday, April 11th), and then again at the end of the week (Friday, April 15th)?
Thanks,
Crimson
cuddlydoc said:Hey Crimson,
Yeah, I was confused about that too...She said "next week and around the 15th of April". Maybe she meant early next week (around Monday April 11th) and then early the following week (as in, after Friday April 15th, so maybe the following Monday?). All I know is that she claimed that there will be at least two rounds of acceptances coming up this month. I hope this clarifies something at least! 🙂
