Sent updated transcript without an accompanying letter. Received an interview
Agreed. I don't think it matters if or how long you've been in school but how long since your primary before you've been given a thumbs up for the secondary. If only a couple months have passed and you've accounted for what you'd be doing in your primary, I don't think an update is necessary.i guess i won't send an update since it's not that much far after amcas and there's nothing really new.
OK. enveloped sealed. tossed out my crappy 1/2 page update. they'll probably ask anyway at the interview *crossed fingers*.

did anyone take a year off after graduation? it'd be more important to provide an update for those cases right?
UCSF has an optional update up to 2 pages. Are any of you choosing not to use this option? Are there people in the past, who have not chosen to provide an update and still got interviews?
From my read, they don't ask for an update for what you've been up to since graduation, but what you've been up to since submitting your primary.Took a few years off. Hopefully your application already outlined what you are currently doing during the time off. I heard that they pay closer attention to the updates than people realize...
I didn't submit an update or do the additional essay. I received an interview and they asked us to fill out a form at the interview giving them an update about the classes we were taking, updates to our app, etc.
Good luck.
