UDM vs NYU

I'd like to hear a few opinions on both schools.

Of course UDM is the cheaper option, but for those of you who have insight on the schools themselves.. do share

UDM. money. I wish I knew something about NYU that was worth the extra price.

Maybe im being salty from being rejected by NYU.

UDM all the way. I find it very difficult to justify the cost of NYU.

It’s not like UDM is cheap either. You’re still looking at over $400k. Their tuition is around the same it’s the just cost of living that really adds up at NYU. If you’re able to find a cheap place at NYU then I don’t think you should use cost to justify your decision. Go where whatever school/city you felt you could see yourself in and where you think you can get the most opportunities. I know cost is the main factor but I don’t think the difference is so big between these two that it should be solely based on that

If I were in your position, I'd write out pros and cons. The location factor definitely goes in favor of NYU. I'd much rather live in NYC than in Detroit (partially because I have a lot of friends in the city). Class size goes in favor of UDM. I'm not a big fan of the massive class size of NYU. Patient population is probably about equal. You're not going to have a shortage of patients at either school.

This one is very close because tuition is about equal. Depends on if you can keep your living expenses down (difficult in NYC).
