Ok, so I'm filling out the UF Campus Ranking Form (which makes no sense in the first place)...but it says to Rank the Campus from 1 through 4, but to only rank the campuses you are willing to move to....I really just want to be considered for Orlando or Gainseville...should I rank Orlando 1 and Gainseville 4...or do I still need to rank the other ones?

What have you guys done? It's just kind of weird how the phrase that...

thanks!

The ranking is so that the school can assign a campus to those that actually have a priority. If you aren't willing to move to, say Jacksonville, but someone else is, they will probably give that spot to them instead.

In your situation you would rank Orlando 1 and Gainesville 2. You shouldn't have a problem getting the Orlando campus because it seems that most people try for the Gainesville one. They do prioritize based on where you live though (although Gainesville doesn't matter as much) so someone already living in Orlando will probably have a better shot at getting an Orlando spot versus someone who doesn't. Makes sense because otherwise 2 people would have to move versus only 1 person.

I ranked all the campuses - St Pete, then Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando. They said that you always get your 1st or 2nd choice if you are accepted, but I didn't want to limit my options. I was willing to move anywhere as long as I got in.

Thank you for the replies! 🙂
Appreciate it!
