Yeah I gave up after 7am. If they didn't call by now then I dont think I have a shot anymore. NEXT!!

I'm sure the phone calls get split up.
I am sure it only takes 1 min. per phone call, Congrats and welcome to UF.
Hopefully only a few select recieve calls and the rest of us can wait for the mail. If there is nothing today, hopefully next month. If not start making other plans.

uf only has 82 seats, lol, so i doubt sposetti is making 100 calls..
but i agree with you, don't give up hope yet...i'm in the same boat as the rest of ya!

You are actually correct....Dr. Sposetti informed us at our interview that applicants will be receiving letters (accepetance and rejection) throughout the month of December...i believe the ones they call are the ones that didn't express interest that UF was their top choice and therefore they call them so that if for some reason the applicant decides to drop UF, they can know before their next round or ASAP. At least that's what I've been told.

well in that case I shoulda told them they were the last choice on my list!!! that way they would've called last week. 
Thats good to know! I called this morning (couldn't help it..😳 ) and the lady in admissions said that they will be making calls for the next couple of weeks, and to not worry yet because the letters of acceptance are sent out today. so HOPEFULLY we will all be getting one of those beauties monday or tuesday....but I am telling you, this wait is making me ill!!!

I disagree with Dentalapp. I think the best of the best receive phone calls. But I do not think, that anybody knows for sure how this whole thing works.

ok this is how its working at UF.... i know because i know SEVERAL ppl on the admissions committee.... soooooooo if u want to believe me, believe me then but if u dont i dont want hear ur comments because im just sharing this info with u guys to calm u down!!!!
uf has picked 82 people already BUT they are only calling the top 60 people on their list TODAY.
they are going to wait until those 60 people respond.... see more interviews and then release the other 22 people because those left over 22 people may not be the best of the best for them so they are still considering their upcoming interviews.

Haha, this time zone thing killed me. I got a call at 4:57 AM this morning from Indiana! I was so out of it, but just a few words woke me right up! 😀
I just got the phone call, here I was already looking into taking more classes and trying to figure out what to do. AND MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED.
When I called, I spoke to the one of the ladies is the admissions. Thanks for your info gatormichigan. I find myself questioning why more people have not posted if they got a phone call this morning or not, I know not everyone uses SDN, but still... a lot of the people I thought for sure would get a phone call has not heard anything yet. Has anyones aadsas been updated? mine still has the lengthy explaination of being invited for an interview, and even though I have seen it so many times, my stomach still jumps a little whenever the page is loaded! 😳 anyways, good luck, good luck, good luck everyone!!!

still no call.....i'm depressed. UF was my only interview so far. 3.6 GPA 20 DAT....what's going on??
Basically, for those of us that didn't get the call just PRAY that we don't get a letter on Monday or Tuesday. THat letter IS a rejection...NOT an acceptance. No letter basically means we're on the waiting list that moves at a snails pace........
i wish i could be more positive, but it's kinda hard during times like these 🙁
once again, congrats to all those accepted....good luck to all those that have not heard.... hopefully we will all be classmates next year!

they do....... my friend with a 3.2 and a 18 DAT got in today (shes a UF student)

for those of you that received "the call"....did they call the number you listed as your "home phone" or "cell phone" on AADSAS? i just realized that the number listed as my home phone is way outdated, lol. maybe they just gave up after that and sent me my acceptance in the mail? or maybe i'm dreaming, lol 🙂 prolly the latter... 🙄

Nope. I just live here 🙂 I commute out to Jax for school, although I did take classes at UF over the summer. If I don't get in I'll chalk it up to being as articulate as a baboon at my interview. MAN, hindsight blows. I feel like George in the "shrimp store" episode of Seinfeld -- THAT'S what I should have said!!

I'm in the same boat guys! I am very surprised at how today went, I am keeping the faith though, b/c I REALLY want to be there in the fall esp if I have all of you guys to call as classmates 🙂

Well, check your mail. JB was right, the thin envelopes have been sent and my name was on the list. Rejected by UF. Ugh... Guess I'm moving back to the northeast...
The only good out of this is that at least I know. I'm glad I don't have to worry about being strung along for months with the last little glimmer of hope that I might actually get in...
