Gracie has got this in the bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I think Gracie is a true pioneer of the sport and completely dominating in his time, I just don't see him taking Matt Hughes. The guy is a beast and much improved both stand-up and on the ground. Either way, I can't wait to watch it.

We all know who Jet is routing for.

I have been watching the prefight buildup on Spike all afternoon (nice way to chill post call btw). It sucks being a lowly poor resident who can't splurge for the tab to get this fight. I love Gracie, and wish that Hughes was one of these arrogant scumbags in UFC so I could watch his demise. However, Hughes is about as stand up as they come. What a freaking stud. I got Hughes in this one.

For anyone who has ordered the fight, can you post an update when they come available?

Hughes dominated from the get-go. He had Gracie in a nasty arm bar/kimura and had his elbow hyperextended but Gracie would not tap. Hughes then proceeded to get Gracie's back and pound him until Big John stopped the fight.

I felt kind of bad seeing Gracie go out like that, but Hughes is the man.

Out of curiosity, are any of you guys fans from the pre-TUF era?

You gotta find a local bar that carries it. Hooters has started showing the UFC fights because of the typical male crowd it draws. What dude doesn't like wings, beer, fights, and the nice ambiance that flows at Hooters?

More people in the OR watch these fights than you may realize. Bring it up on Monday or Tuesday and you may realize who is gonna throw a house party on the next PPV.

Just the look on Gracie's face while Hughes was all over that left arm was one of two things:

1. My **** is going to break soon, and
2. WTF have I gotten myself into?

He was beaten at that point, at least mentally it seemed. Everyone said the UFC has changed and Gracie refused to believe it.

Awesome fight.

I've been watching since ufc 4 came out on vhs. I've been a hardcore fan ever since.
