well isnt this nice. on your application, you can no longer mark the box to let the schools know you will be retaking the dat. I called aadsas and they told me that its impossible to do this now and if you plan to retake, just call the schools and let them know. oh yea, im sure this is going to go down real nice !

ummmm yea im just waiting to be rejected based on my old scores and for someone to tell me "sorry we forgot to write a note on your application when you called in to tell us that you plan a retake, oh well , speak to you again next year !!!!"

very nice aadsas, very very nice.

it almost makes me think its best to submit aadsas AFTER re-taking the DAT?? even if that means you wont be complete until september. ridiculous.

exactly.... and then put yourself up for one or two rounds of interview by doing that.......... they've shat all over the app process. and the lady i spoke to was very mean and frustrated because i guess 500 other people asked the same question. she pissed me off by having next to no patient to hear my side of the story..... its not my fault you guys have ruined the application.

so when they upload your DAT scores, they dont indicate that we are retaking if we already scheduled it? like as in they just show the scores?

Oh I didn't even think of that. Fantastic! Do you think if you have already signed up for the DAT the DentPin will show that you have a test scheduled for a future date? Would be nice but not sure if that's how it works.

I'm guessing schools want the whole package at once sorta thing. It's messier when you have lots of ap's on hold? I dunno what made them change?

i dont know what happens when you sign up for a test take and if dentipin will report. better call and ask. i dont plan to and wont sign up until 2 weeks prior to taking the test.

If I recall correctly, when I was designating the schools I wanted to release my DAT scores to, it asked when I took the DAT and if I intended to retake it.

I wonder if this was supposed to tie into the accommodation for test re-takers.

🙄
