does uhscom require parents info to be on your fafsa??

i think my efc will be around 14000 based on some online calculators. Will that seriously affect my loan and other aid??

also, my credit score is a pitiful 660 or so. i have nothing bad on my report, just that it is only about 1.5 yrs old! i didnt know anything about credit stuff, so i didnt get a loan or credit card until about 1.5 yrs ago... eek... will that kill my chances for private loans??

most importantly, with a credit score like mine, will uhscom require me to get a co-signer???

i thought getting accepted was tough, but the financial part seems much worse now.......

any help????

thanks guys!!!!

You will be fine. You will get the money to go to school one way or the other. Take a deep breath and RELAAAAXXXXXX.😴

If your 25th birthday was before Dec. 31st 2003, then for the 2004-05 financial aid year (beginning July 1 at the school where I work, for example) you can list yourself as an 'Independent' and usually not use any parents' info... unless they are your primary source of support.

If you're younger than that, and depending on which loan programs you'll be using, then it might be a requirement to get parental info because the guidelines don't let you list as 'Independent' unless, like, both parents are in jail.

I work in fin aid now... is it any wonder I want to go back to school and be a doc? 😉
