To any of the 2 SND'ers who got the most recent status change - have you gotten anything in the mail yet? Please keep us informed. Good luck to all who are still decision pending!!!!! :luck:
 
I got a status change that says a decision has been made and something will arrive in 2 weeks, it looks like it changed on the 11th.
 
I'll be at second look day too...nothing in the mail yet...admissions said last thursday we should expect letters by the end of this week. As soon as a packet arrives I'll post something here. Good luck to everyone still waiting...does it seem like they waitlisted more people than usual this time?

Maybe a little but not really. I think the March decision was pretty brutal last time as well--the class is just full it seems. Oh well--looks like CCOM for me--not too bad a fate! :banana:

It's been cool going through the process with most of you--we'll go through this again in April and then there'll be the May 15th deadline. A few weeks after that last year (around June 1st) they cut down the 25% of people who weren't accepted post-interview into a manageable waitlist--at this point if you get the "A decision has been made on" change, it's not necessarily a good thing (I would even go as far to say that if you get that change around that time, it's probably not a good thing). Those who aren't rejected at that point will receive notification that they're on a waitlist.

Good luck to everybody still in the process (especially if you have no other acceptances) :luck:. And if you have to reapply, might I humbly suggest to apply to a few DO schools--I always told myself that I would never do that, but was convinced by my parents to give it a try early this year, and am very happy I ended up doing it.
 
I got that packet (3 pages or so) last week. it had a schedule, a common question answer sheet and something else but I can't remember off the top of my head. let me know if you don't get it ill send it your way.

Wow. Thanks for giving a heads up.

I just interviewed at UIC last friday, and interviewers kept telling us that the class is theoretically full now, and we probably will not be accepted.
The dean of admissions told us that 56% of currently accepted applicants are holding multiple acceptances, but he didn't mention how many they have accepted (I guess they over-accepted though).
They also told us that we will hear something by end of April whether it's a good news or not.
I guess I'm expecting either waitlist or rejection.

I was out of town this weekend, so I just checked my status today.... Mine has changed to a final decision was made on 4/11, expect something in two weeks.

It's scary that we have no idea whether this is good or bad!! I'm hoping it's good news.

how do you guys know when second look is? was something sent out in the mail? I got accepted back in December and I received information about financial aid, but not second look.

oh my gosh, I am so excited! I JUST wrote that post about checking my status and when I went to the mailbox there was a big envelope waiting for me.... yayayay!

Just got the packet in the mail today! I totally forgot to get the mail and my mom got it and took it in the bathroom and looked at it first and then she said "something came in the mail for you"... shocked..

Wowwww....I just got the acceptance envelope today. I am extremely excited, however, I do not know what to make much of it. This is my first exeptance, however, I am out of state, so the tuition is just hitting me....Any ideas? Anybody knows how we can check out financial aid status through the university? as in, how much money we were awarded to go to that specific school?

Also, as for the campus decisions, does anyone know which campuses are filled? What are the benefits and drawbacks of the certain campuses?

Wow!! Congrats! Out of curiosity, when did you interview at UIC? I interviewed in mid March and my status still said decision pending.
 
just got accepted yesterday! dont know if i will go though (OOS tuition is rough).

hopefully someone on here gets my spot!

Dear 2008 UIC Medical School Applicant:
The Committee on Admissions of the UIC College of Medicine reviewed your application for the month of March. We wish to advise you that no final decision has been reached on your application, but that you are still under consideration. The "Wait List" has not yet been complied.
Please note that the Committee reserves the right to withhold all final decisions until June 1st. You will receive another email later in the year to update you of your status in the process.
We ask that you notify us of mailing address or phone number changes so we may communicate promptly with you.

I got the same email
 
Interviewed March 18th
No status change, no acceptance letter 🙁
No email

I think I didn't end up being reviewed in the March meeting, so April here I come. I think the adcom meets on Thursday April 24th. Good luck to everyone :luck: Hopefully we don't have a delay like last month!!!!
 
For those who got the email, can you share your stats? I'll start, 3.9 OA 3.5 BCMP 33 MCAT.

also got the e-mail...stats: 3.75 BCPM, 3.75 AO, 32 MCAT, IS
hopefully we still have a shot :luck:
 
3.63, 3.43sci, 31M (10/11/10); instate.

Edit: Did anybody who wasn't accepted and interviewed before March not get the email?

Hey everyone. The adcom is meeting today. I think they are still giving out acceptances, although probably not as many as earlier in the season. Good luck to everyone being reviewed and please post as soon as you hear any news! I am so nervous!!!!!

Hey guys just got off the phone with admissions. They did indeed meet today. There will be another meeting at the end of May as well.
 
Could someone tell me how long it took for them to get their campus assignment in the mail? I got my letter and sent out my ranking card on the same day, which was 2 weeks ago. So just curious about when I might get it back 🙂
 
Mine still says Decision Pending.
I interviewed on 4/11. Does anyone get the status change yet?
