Hi Everyone:
I just received an interview invitation for UMass Medical School (MY TOP CHOICE MD SCHOOL!!!) for March 1st. I know UMass accepts roughly 50% of those that interview (according to the MSAR), and as this is very late in the cycle and all, I know this plays a role, but I was just curious to hear other people's input.

Is there any way to know the approx. number that have already been accepted to sort of judge competitiveness?

Any ideas/comments would be most appreciated.

Best regards,

Ryan.

Congrats on the invite! When I interviewed in late Nov, they told us all that basically the committee makes a decision pretty quickly, but you may not hear anything until April or May. So, some people get accepted well before then, but because between now & May 15th people who DID commit to UMass may change their plans, they say to consider yourself waitlisted until you hear otherwise. Of last year's entering class of 100, HALF was off of the wait list. So I'm sure there's still room in the class...though that may not have been very clear...
