How long did it take for everyone to hear back from Michigan postinterview. Especially people who interviewed within the past few weeks.

If you don't mind me asking was it waitlist or acceptance?

wait-list+pissed+

at least it wasn't a rejection, but they're one of my top choices right now and I'd rather not wait.

i doubt they'll accept anyone off the waitlist until they've filled the entire class with acceptances...then they'll see who turns them down and offer the remaining slots. most people don't start to hear back about acceptances after waitlists until April at the earliest, from what I've heard...
Dr. Remick told us the exact opposite when I interviewed there a couple months ago. He said that people on the waitlist are constantly being reevaluated and are eligible for admission at any time. They accept a relatively small number of students post-interview, so their waitlist is incredibly active and those who interview early have an advantage over those who interview later. UMich is truly rolling. So, being waitlisted doesn't mean you'll necessarily have to wait to wait till spring to hear.

whoops! obviously i didn't know what i was talking about...haven't had my interview yet. i'll take down my post so it doesn't confuse anyone...sorry, everyone!

yes I remember Dr. Remick saying the same thing as Bones.

And to address the original question, I heard back within 5 days! (Interviewed Oct 10, accepted Oct 15).

Goodluck!!

Xega, I'm anxiously waiting too. I was there the same day you were, but I really have no idea which one you were. There were so many people there.
I really like U. of Mich. a lot, It's hard to say until I have completed my interviews, but it seems likely that it is my top choice. It is definately the highest ranked school that I've interviewed at, and I loved the facilities.
It's embarassing, and sometimes I feel like I am jinxing myself, but I check my status page every day.🙁

All of the interviews were really relaxed and pleasant. At the end of my last interview, the interviewer said, "Your a good student and I feel like your a good match for our program. I am going to recommend that they accept you.". Needless to say I felt like a million dollars, but at the same time they get so many great applicants, they must feel that way about many of their applicants.
I feel like a kid at Christmas again, but I never feared the proverbial lump O' coal like I fear the rejection letters. I think I will go nuts if I have to wait until march to discover my fate.

I interviewed at UMich on Halloween, and I was notified of my acceptance on Nov. 3rd. UMich is great because they notify you of decisions very quickly. Awesome school.

RG -- you will not have to wait until March.

Almost everyone I have talked to has heard back from Michigan within a month of their interview -- and at the interview day they told us their goal for turnaround time is 2 weeks.

Goodluck everyone!

Anyone know when the adcom is meeting to discuss those people who interviewed on the 5th of this month? They told us the committee meets once a month, but that wouldn't make sense with what everyone else has said so far about hearing back within two weeks.

bump...because it is late and I am really unmotivated to study any more for this exam. 🙁

The admissions committee meets every Friday right after the interviews. However, I don't know when they discuss a particular interview group

Anyone from Umich undergrad get accepted yet?
