Hey all, I need some advice/input.

I have been accepted to IU's OTD program, but they are in phase one of the accreditation process. Does anyone have any advice on choosing a school that is not yet accredited? Was it a good choice? Did you find yourself worrying about the accreditation?

I am also accepted at The University of Indianapolis and they have an accredited OTD program, but the cost is $50,000 more .. is that worth it?

Did IU's program interview? If so, how'd you feel about the school during it? Look at their other related programs (if they have any) and see if they are accredited. Also, I'm not familiar with the university, but if they have a good reputation, I'm sure they'll have no problem getting accredited in the future.

Cost should be a large factor in your decision making, but not THE most important.

In the end, when you are applying for jobs all they care about is if you passed your boards and are licensed.

Which school did you end up choosing to accept ???

I felt pretty good when interviewing, they're a great school with a great reputation and they switched from their bachelors to masters with no issues. They are in candidacy status currently.

Go to an accredited school.
Don't do OTD.
Don't do the 100k program thing.

The accredited program is OTD and 100k, IU is in the process of getting accredited.

Just do the entry level program. If you really want the OTD there is probably cheaper options in the future for post OTD stuff.

Good job on the acceptance.

I'd lean towards paying less for school.
