Just secured a visiting rotation there starting August 29 - end of September. Anyone out there have any connections on short-term room rentals (home, apartment, condo, etc.)

The med school there has an online board where they put all kinds of stuff. You might be able to convince the school to give you access. I would just call the med school administration. If not, see if you can find someone on here who goes to UNC Med and they could check the board for you.

I did an away rotation at UNC last fall and had a great time. The student affairs office should hook you up with a list of folks who rent rooms.

I stayed with a friend's mom (very nice lady) in Carrboro. Private bed, bath, couple of cats, laundry and open access to kitchen. Very quiet, short drive to campus. She was considering renting the room to other visiting med students but I don't know if she has. If you're interested PM me and I'll give her a call. Probably run you about $200 for the month.

I've used the online off-campus housing listings (main campus site), but will try the specific med school listings also.

Anyone with specific connections that you could PM me about would be greatly appreciated.
