*UNC Dental Applying 2011*

has anyone's status changed on AADSAS like some of the other schools to "check back on Dec 1st"? mine still says received/under review. It has said that since I applied.
 
Anyone know around the time they send invites for the January interview? Or have they already been given out?

I think around mid dec.

Or 3 weeks before the interview date
 
my status just changed today to received under review.. again. the date was 11/14/11. i interviewed 11/12/11. hmmm

cmon Feb 1st.
 
anyone hear any good news? today was another UNC invite day.
 
Got my first interview today. Applied to 9 schools and got an invite from UNC earlier for Jan 7th
 
Got an interview at UNC for Jan 7th! Got the email earlier in the day. I called and confirmed my interview and they said they would send a email with all the information but I haven't received anything yet. Think it would be a good idea to email to re-confirm?
 
theyre good about getting you the info. dont worry. if im not mistaking, you are suppose to email back a confirmation, not call. then they'll email saying they received it and will send you an electronic packet.

it'll come. dont worry. if you dont get it by Jan. 6th, then worry. :)

Haha thanks man, I think I drank too much coffee so I was jumpy as hell. Thanks for helping me to calm down!
 
I got an invitation via email yesterday for the January 7th date as well! I'm really excited...see you all there.

I've noticed the way they've done it the past two years is they'll meet from the morning until early afternoon, and start making calls around 3, give or take 1 hour. Best of luck!
 
So would today be the last day to gain admittance into UNC?

I'll be in the middle of exercise physiology lab then...which is perfect, since I'll already be properly dressed to jump up and down and run some victory laps OR to work my frustrations out on some weights. Hopefully it's the former. Good luck to everyone!

I just got the call, Im in! OOS here from NY, interviewed 9/24
 
I added a person's facebook I interviewed with and he said he was in also. In-state. I wonder if they will be calling until 5..

Yeah last interview date was on 1/7. Today was last committee meeting.

I hope that doesn't mean that they're done sending out invites. Maybe there are still more calls to be made? :xf:

i called last year this time, so NOT IT!
 
it seems like most of the people who got called today were out of state people... so maybe they will call in state people tomorrow?
 
Regarding whether they are still giving acceptances... who do you call to ask? and will they give that info out if someone does call?

Just ask if they are done with acceptances.

When I called last year it was on the second day and they said wait listers would be mailed.
 
So is the general consensus here that they do make more calls tomorrow? Maybe half the list today and the other half tomorrow sometime?
 
I called the admissions office and asked if all the offers were extended today. She said "not necessarily," and that "they are still in the middle of making calls," and "there should be some calls made tomorrow."

One more day of agony. Keep the faith, comrades.

I wonder if they are calling alphabetically?? Does anyone know if people that are wait-listed receive an email or do they also wait for snail mail?

No problemo. I'm a little encouraged by the relative lack of activity on here today, and as someone else mentioned, mostly OOSers reporting.

As I understand it waitlist notifications are sent via snail mail.

yeah, waitlist is snail mail.

but your AADSAS portal will probably update before any mail comes.
 
I'm in state at got called today at around 2 PM, but my last name would probably be at the top of the list if it were done alphabetically.
AADSAS hasn't changed yet.

Thanks for calling man! I was in a flight from 215pm till 430pm. I was in the plane goin insane. As soon as I landed I checked to see if I had a voicemail, then... got on SDN lol.
 
I also got in today, around 2, and I am in-state. My last name is in the middle of the alphabet. Good luck to everyone :)
 
I haven't heard anything and my AADSAS is still "received/under review". Anyone have a status change yet??? I'm starting to feel slightly disappointed.......
 
I got the call around 2PM as well. Last name starts with an N. Congrats everyone!!! Go heels!

Your status will not change for a couple more days no matter what the decision...at least that's how it was for me back in December...

Congrats to everyone who got in!! Welcome future classmates :thumbup::thumbup:
 
No AADSAS change for me. Maybe there will be some calls tomorrow!
