OMG YALL I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!! I WAS SO SCARED TO CHECK THIS MORNING I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MY LUNCH BREAK AT WORK!! Everyone who was wait listed or rejected please don't give up!! Do a research program this summer or anything that will benefit your chances of getting into medical school! I am 24 years old and just now accomplishing things that I felt should have been done when I was 21. God will place you in the right spot at the right time. I'm learning you have to trust the process

After accepting our spot, did you get a confirmation email? (I'm not sure if we were supposed to or not) I'll guess we just have wait to see if hey send more information by the end of the week. Also have you taken the DAT?

I didn’t get one, that’s why I was wondering. I’m retaking it right before the program hopefully. How about you?

I'm medical but I didn't get an email after I accepted either. They probably will send something out in a few weeks. In the acceptance letter it said they won't be doing the same MCAT/DAT format like they have in the past so I think everyone applying to medical or dental school this cycle should def take the MCAT or DAT before May 28th. Our lives are about to be consumed in this program all summer lol. Good luck to everyone applying this year

Hi All! I have been accepted into the program for this summer as well. I am doing medical. I am actually a current applicant for medical schools now but have been rejected from UNC SoM post-interview. Hoping this program will increase my chances of securing a spot my next go around. Cant wait to meet yall in a few weeks.

Hey you guys, for those that are applying to med school this cycle are you all waiting to submit your application after this program? I know we get a committee letter from UNC but is there a way you can submit your application and then add the letter once the program is over? This is my second time applying to med school so I wanted to submit early but I also think it would be stupid to submit early if nothing from the MED program will be up there yet...any suggestions?

I'm not sure how it works when applying to medical school but I do know when you apply to dental school, you are able to submit your application early without LORs/Committee letter. However, your application will not be complete until your LORs or Committee letter are received.

If you do well during MED and get an interview at UNC, how are your chances of getting in? I have heard from people who did the program that getting an interview also means high chance of acceptance unless you really mess up badly! Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks @NSU2DDS Totally! However, everyone who is doing it is planning on a career in the medical field. That's why I was wondering if it is truly that helpful.
I absolutely love meeting people and I would love the experience of really pushing myself to see what I can do.

Everyone accepted into the program is applying or considering applying to medical/dental school. The program will definitely expose you to the pace of professional school and strengthen your application but its not an automatic ticket into medical/dental school. it will however, get you prepared if you’re not.
