Undergrad endocrinology?

Great class. Some of it is tough, but it isn't what I call a particularly hard class, overall. It is interesting.

I loved my endocrinology class. There's a lot of information to learn, but I found it very interesting and it was one of my favorite undergrad classes.

This is a very interesting course. For me, it was an upper-level undergraduate biology course, so the course load was heavy. I would recommend it, but it also depends on who is teaching that course.

I really liked endocrinology. It was the first major level science course I ever took (took it back in fall of 2004), and I got a B (I was vastly underprepared, as you can imagine), but i think endocrinology itself is really 'elegant'. Does that sound cliche? The only regrets about the course that I have is that they spent so much time on a limited number of topics. The kidney was given over a quarter of the course, while steroid hormones, bone homeostasis, and sex endocrinology were barely touched.

I took a neuroendocrinology class, and the class focused heavily on sex endocrinology (more than 1/2 of semester). One exam asked us to reproduce a diagram of the neurocircuit for lordosis in rats. 😀

OP here (I was bored and felt like updating this thread):

Unbeknowst to me, this was a cross-listed senior-level/grad student level class, so I was a tad nervous going in. The first test wasn't so hot, but when I got used to lecture/test style, my grades improved a ton, and I came away with an A! 🙂 All and all, it was a really, really interesting class and one I'd definitely recommend as a bio elective.
